Kozy Retreat at the Lake is a place for lake lovers to come and relax. This three-bed two-bath property sits this close to Douglas Lake and is the perfect place for those who enjoy being outside year-round. With plenty of outdoor seating space, Guests can enjoy the sunrise from the front porch, visits in the outdoor living room, and roasting marshmallow or keeping toasty by one of 2 firepits. There is also a lovely grill area and a hot tub. Guests will also enjoy a private dock to jump in and swim from when the lake level is up. And when the sun sets, you can snuggle up inside in the cozy living room and make meals in the updated kitchen. The newly renovated property is a must for your next getaway.

This property was just as the pictures portrayed. The seclusion was even better than we'd imagined. The proprety was very clean and we enjoyed the hot tub, grill and patio. Though the lake was still low as it the'd not begin filling it for summer just yet, our 11 year old still caught fish and enjoyed swimming and playing on the lilly pad.

Let me start this review by saying I have no idea if it is the host or the owners of the this property that are at fault ad the house it managed my some listing agent other than vrboTo start with we rented a house on the lake with a dock and a gravel drive down to the lakeWell the lake is 15 ft below summer pool so the dock is no where near the water Next someone decided to bull doze have the yard and the drive so it's solid mud for you to walk through But don't worry you would think there's a water hose at a house to wash all the mud off your shoes when your walking around a active construction site. We'll there is but its locked up with a lock on the faucet. So you can t use that at all but someone uses it to fill the hot tub in between stays. Then you say o what a nice yard to use from the listing photos. But you get there and the grass is over 12 inches tall and to walk to and from the hot tubs to the patio or the fire pit is all through this grass. A 50 Walmart weedeater could at least make a path through this grass. And just know you probably need a 4x4 to get in and out of this property's drive way while this construction is going on because it all fresh 57 gravel that's not compacted on a 45 degree decline to the house. Over all this house would get 1 star in the current condition as the ac and tv did work. As far as everything else it's not what was listed or even shown in the photos due to the active construction and dirt work going on.

Skylar has been addressed on multiple platforms about his experience. Guest was not informed of work being done at property prior to stay. That's on us and because of that he was offered some compensation for this issue. He was offered fair and reasonable compensation that equaled almost a night's rent back which he complained via email that is what he wanted. I don't know if he doesn't understand basic math but he declined the offer saying it wasn't enough. Guest never called us to complain about anything else while he was here so compensation was based on what we know we messed up. We were not given the opportunity to fix anything else. Also, the grass had been mowed the week before so no it wasn't over a foot tall and we have no control over the water levels for Douglas Lake. We are sorry he is upset and had felt it necessary to leave bad reviews everywhere. We truly hope he doesn't not book with us again.
