Great house and location

We enjoyed our stay here! The house had everything we needed, and felt more like a home away from home. It was clean, and stocked, and in the perfect location from all the wonderful Tucson attractions.

Excellent home in Tucson

Really great home. Well equipped. Ultra attentive (in a great way) home owner. Lots of nice surprises in the property on arrival. Attention to the unexpected details was great. Back yard and hot tub were excellent. A perfect stay. Thanks!

So comfortable!

From the beginning of our arrival, to the beginning of our departure, the hosts of this beautiful home, Karen and Wayne, were very accommodating! The home is beautifully furnished and easy to live in. It is the most stocked home we have ever been in! Karen is very attentive to details that deliver comfort and organization. We give them four stars for the entire experience! We will be staying there again in the future!

Home away from home

The best I can say is how comfortable and at-home we feel when we stay here. This is our second visit and we will come here again next time we need to be in Tucson. The location is perfect, close to everything. The neighborhood feels safe and comfortable. We especially enjoy the fenced backyard for our dog and the hot tub. The owners are easy to work with and provide everything we need, more than many rental homes do. We are seniors and did not use the upstairs but everything we needed was easily accessible downstairs.

I’d stay here again!

I was lucky to find this home for my 24 day stay in February (with my two small dogs). The location was perfect; close to bike trail, golf courses, great restaurants and just a short drive to downtown Tucson. It was very quiet. It had a well stocked kitchen. A comfortable setting. A great selection of tv channels. A nice backyard for the dogs (and a small doggie door). The highlight was the 2 person hot tub which was easy to access and use!

Review

Property inside was well taken care and supplied with all the items that are needed for a pleasant stay. Hosts were always available. We were disappointed with the care of the outdoor patio and grounds. It could have been more inviting.

Reflections

Our hosts were very good and provided a well-supplied property. They were attentive to our needs and took care of requests promptly. We were pleased with their care. Our only negative comment regards the outdoor patio. It was not well taken maintained and could have been more inviting.

Had a pleasant stay

Karen and Wayne were excellent hosts. Very kind and attentive and extremely accommodating. The house was good and had everything we needed. Nothing was missing and my family enjoyed it very much. We would rent it again. The reason I did not give it a 4 or 5 star is because the house would have to be remodeled because it is very out dated. However that is only an improvement suggestion if the goal is to make the rental a 4 or 5 star. Thank you Karen and Wayne

Tavin, we're glad you had a pleasant stay overall and appreciated the hospitality from the hosts. We understand they went out of the way to accommodate you outside of the normal policies they have in place for guests to stay at least a few nights. As the photos reflect, their home is updated and is an incredible value. We're confident future guests will love staying here! Best, the Evolve Team

Fantastic stay in Tucson that felt like home

Overall wonderful stay at this house. At check-in, the host left her present engagement to welcome us to the home. She gave us a detailed tour of the property, went through any nuances in each room, and gave us helpful information about the surrounding area. This is in an HOA, so call ahead of time to make special arrangements with the host. We brought along a tow-behind trailer and had to get pre-approval to park it long term in the visitor space. The only thing that was 4 star was the neighborhood / location. We stayed for 3 weeks and there were two incidences of neighbors in the community who 1) had their car broken into and 2) their car was stolen. (She left her keys in the car and the car unlocked.) We did not experience any issues or personal items missing. We made sure to lock our car doors every night. If you park in the garage, this would be a non-issue for you. Wonderful stay in Tucson!! The hosts reached out to us weekly to make sure that everything was going well and if we needed restocked on anything.

Property Over rated on website

Tucson was a great place to visit. The weather, cycling, and outdoor activities can not be beat. We all know we take a risk booking on any site but use the ratings to help guide us. The property had very good ratings and the location was good. this is where the positives ended for us. First, the neighborhood. It was a complete letdown when we first pulled up. Homes were in disrepair, one even boarded up. It just appeared to be unsafee. The property was not like the pictures. the carpet leading to upstairs was absolutely filthy. The draperies in both the living and main bedroom may have never been cleaned. The living room sofa was so dirty we had to put a blanket over it to feel comfortable enough to sit on it. The dining chairs were also very dirty and looked to have have not been cleaned in quite some time. The bed covering and pillows had a foul smell as well. Replacing some of these basics should be mandatory. The complex did have a pool that we understood just got refilled because of vandalism. Although open to be used, it had one regular chair and one broken lounge chair. The bathrooms were unusable. not only extremely dirty, they too were in disrepair. we rented this for the month of February 2025 and we knew the rates would be high as the Gem show and Rodeo are in this same month. In addition, the fees added to the cost will make us think twice about renting through the site again. This is not a property i would recommend.

The space was just the right size, the kitchen well equipped, and our host, Karen was very helpful and provided excellent, detailed information during out stay. Lacking proper maintenance

Hvac wasn't working properly the week BEFORE we got there. We had to use 3 space heaters to keep temp above 60 degrees for 1 1/2 weeks of our 3 week stay. Needs a lot of TLC on walls and woodwork. Yes, it has a 2 car garage but a bush sticks out a good 1 1/2 to 2 feet on the right side and scrapes against the car on the right side when pulling in. Door locks are a mess. 3 different mixed sets of keys on key rings and front locked gate is so far out of alignment the only way in or out is garage door. Yes there are good features about the place but overall not worth the price. Upstairs smoke detector needed a new battery, owners were out of town and recommended taking out battery to disable it. With 2 adults and a baby sleeping upstairs and a week left in our stay, I went out and bought a new battery and put it in. Owner never called or came over to fix or check on smoke alarm that entire week but did repay me for the batteries on check out day.

Lawrence, we're sorry your stay fell flat of your expectations. We have passed along your feedback to the homeowner. There are multiple sets of keys to utilize the home and the amenities such as the pool and basketball courts. We're sorry that the fire detector had died during your stay. During your initial contact with the owner about this, they regretfully forgot to inform you of the location of extra batteries. We understand that they had made attempts to reach out to you the following day without any success. However, they have noted that there are extra batteries provided to avoid this scenario from recurring. Due to the cold spell recently experienced, the HVAC was inspected the week prior to your stay with no issue found. Unfortunately, it was only discovered post your departure that if the temperature is set to maximum instead of a degree it will overload the system and require a brief shut off to de-ice the coils. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused you but know that the owners went to generous measures to make things right. We regret if we didn't come to an agreeable solution. The owners take pride in providing an exceptional guest experience, and as evidenced in past reviews, we are confident this home will continue to host satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team
