This house was great for our New Year's getaway. It was just the right size for our group - plenty of sleeping space and just the right amount of 'hang-out' space. The huge couch in the living seats like, 6-7 people and the rest huddled comfortably around the big coffee table and fireplace...perfect for playing games (which is what we spent the evenings doing). Plus the kitchen is open to the living room, so even if people are split up between the two rooms, everyone can still feel included.
The owner had the house stocked with the necessities that not everyone thinks of bringing - trash bags, cleaning products, paper towels, etc. All the beds were dressed and there was even laundry accessible to guests!
The location was perfect too - only 10 minutes from the mountain for those who want to go skiing or snowboarding, and the same distance for great snowshoe/cross country trails.
I would definitely stay at this house again - the only issue that arose was that it had just snowed (which was perfect!) and the road leading to the house was a very slick. Without a 4WD vehicle, it would have been hard to get to the driveway, let alone up the driveway. We had one couple who needed to park their car at the bottom of the hill, but obviously that is anticipated, as there is an emergency snow parking lot at the beginning of the street. So it's not a complaint, but just something to be aware of. In our pick up truck, we had no trouble getting to the house!
I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a winter getaway near Mt. Killington!
