I am Canadian, from Montreal, Quebec where I learned how to ski from age 3 in the Laurentian and Eastern Township mountains and northern Vermont. I have lived in Vancouver since 1980 and skied at Whistler/Blackcomb since that date, the best skiing in the world. I am a Civil Engineer and have owned a construction company for 15 years and more recently an Engineering Consulting Company for 25 years, both located in Vancouver. I am married now for 40 years to my wife who also has skiied from a very young age at Whistler since it was built in 1966. We bought a large townhome in Original Taluswood in 2008 for our personal use and in 2011 bought the identical townhome next door to offer to guests as a nightly rental in the winter.

We were very well acquainted with properties at Whistler/Blackcomb due to decades skiing there. The original Whistler Mountain Developments were at Creekside where all of the original lifts were located. We have witnessed 4 generations of lifts from Creekside culminating with the newest 8 person gondola installed in 2022 and directly accessed by ski in/out from this townhouse located in the original Taluswood townhouse development constructed in 1996. Original Taluswood offers rare ski in/out access directly to Creekside. Original Taluswood was built with very large, family oriented, owner occupied townhouses in clusters of duplexes and fourplexes. The buildings are unusual for a speculative build in that they are authentic, massive log post and beam framed buildings with large covered porches and every unit with one or two attached heated garages as well as parking slabs. This unit has the best view in Taluswood with views of Rainbow mountain, Alta Lake and forest with no other buildings visible. Original Taluswood ushered in a new age of luxury which I equate with the level at Four Seasons Hotel chain. This was not previously available at Whistler, so these buildings and this development is Classic and has not ever been exactly repeated for location and features.
