Conveniently located in gorgeous Bayou St. John, 1.5 miles from the French Quarter, this 3BR / 2BA house backs onto the Laffite Greenway and is steps from the famous Bayou Beer & Wine Garden and Parkway Po’Boys. Walk or bike a mile along the bayou to City Park or on the Laffite Greenway to the French Quarter. Walking distance to Jazz Fest! Newly renovated and stocked with brand new furnishings. The outdoor area is perfect for a coffee or drink while you take in a southern breeze!
It is three blocks from the Canal street Streetcar line/Endymion Mardi Gras Parade (the biggest one). Getting to the French Quarter on the streetcar, uber, or bike takes less than 10 minutes. Mid City and Bayou Saint John are so full of fun things to do, you may never want to leave! There are plenty of bars, cafes, and restaurants within walking distance of the house. But if you do want to explore, we are in the center of the city -- between City Park, the French Quarter and Uptown. It's easy to get anywhere from here! Whether you're in town for tourist attractions or festivals, or if you're out to explore the whole city, from the heart of Mid-City you can be there in no time at all.

If you’re on the hunt for a home with a front porch, then Mid City New Orleans should definitely be on your short list. While the architecture is varied, the majority of homes in this neighborhood have that most quintessential of southern perks: a porch. If you like the outdoors, then this is the perfect space for you. But it’s not all about porch sitting (although that’s pretty darned appealing), it’s the proximity to everything else. There’s City Park and the New Orleans Museum of Art on one end. There’s the medical corridor on the other. And snuggled up in the middle, you’ll find some of our favorite places to grab a bite – Clesi’s for seafood, Parkway for poboys, Katie’s for brunch, and Bayou Beer Garden for any time you need a cold one. The Lafitte Greenway starts (or ends, depending on your perspective) in Mid City and stretches for miles. Ride your bike, walk your dog, or take an evening run in a big expanse of green space. You’ll have choices in grocery stores, convenience and drug stores, and too many other restaurants to mention. Getting to downtown or Metairie or even the Westbank is a breeze, because it doesn't get more centrally located than this!
