The home was perfect for our needs. We had several family members staying with us for our son’s wedding. The amount of bedrooms and baths were excellent. The total space was awesome and the exterior great. Beautiful swimming pool and Lake view. We saw deer, badgers and cardinals. The location was close to everything. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

Clint and Rebecca were wonderful hosts. They even had fresh coffee and creamer available after learning we would be arriving late at night. They also generously allowed us a later check out and were very responsive. The house is located at the end of a private drive on a pretty pond. It’s a peaceful location but close to businesses. It’s about 12 minutes from Elon.

The house was very clean and kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans. Check-in was smooth and host replied to messages in a timely manner. We enjoyed the pool; it was also very clean. Very cool property just needs a little updating :)

Great find in the middle of town! Our family loved it Plenty of fish to catch in the pond. Kayaking around the pond was fun for the grandkids. Beds were comfy. Definitely a relaxing place and with the stay again!

Hosts were great and very responsive. Home was great - spacious, clean and had a well stocked kitchen for cooking. The grounds were well taken care of and beautiful. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. Pool was outstanding. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect house for our daughter’s small baby shower and family reunion. Lots of room to spread out and wish it was warmer so we could have enjoyed the pool. Host was super friendly and extremely accommodating to our needs. We’ll be back again.

A great house for a gathering. So secluded and peaceful. In the backyard, right outside the door, we saw deer, groundhogs, and so many birds. The squeaky floors kept us from sneaking for late night snacks, kept us in giggles. Everybody enjoyed.

This property was a nice, relaxing spot for us to spend time during a soccer tournament weekend with our teenage girls. The house fit 10 people comfortably (although one mom/daughter was in the basement which is not ideal, as its a little "scary" and cold with the eerie fireplace and no carpeting. The house is outdated and needs some slight renovations (i.e. new outdoor furniture would be nice) but very functional and fully stocked kitchen and loads of towels and blankets. The pool was great and mornings by the pond were calming, quiet and lovely. The house was convenient to the highway to get to Greensboro and Raleigh/Durham. Clint was very kind and responsive and even popped over, so we were able to meet him and he gave us a history of this really unique property. Highly recommend for a larger group!

Perfect for our family reunion guests! Next reunion I do hope we can rent a second house adjacent to the lake rather than the one we were able to rent on Carolina Ave. We wanted to be much closer together. NIce to meet you and your son as we were packing up to depart.

Beautiful slice of heaven

Such a wonderful place for a family getaway! Clint and Rebecca are such down to earth people and so responsive to any questions or concerns. And the spectacular views from the pool deck are like a beautiful slice of heaven!!

Beautiful property, great stay!

Plenty of room for our group of 9. Beds were very comfy, loved the huge sofa for napping. Location was central, lovely, and unique. Kitchen was large- lots of us could work simultaneously. Highly recommend!

Awesome Property

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving retreat with our family! The property is gorgeous. We really enjoyed walking around the property and viewing the beautiful ornamental trees, and landscape! Although it’s fall, we could just imagine a wonderful family vacation here in the summer with the beautiful pool!

Clint York, a native of NC, is an Elon alumni. He is retired from corporate America and enjoys managing several VRBOs, landscaping, gardening and cooking. Rebecca, a native of Toledo, Ohio, moved to NC to attend Greensboro College. She teaches high school children with Autism and enjoys helping Clint pick flowers.

When the opportunity to purchase it to both preserve and enhance the beauty, there was no hesitation. I have added four other rentals to the location and grow my flowers here."
