GOTL Girls Trip Very nice clean cottage a little musty but it is a cottage by the lake so that was expected. I do think a dehumidifier or air purifier would help . The owner Megan was great to deal with. Small view of lake from patio.Four minute walk to little beach area. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great time at the Barefoot Bungalo. The beds were comfortable, as were the couches. The patio area got used a lot. Great place to relax.

Girls Trip 2024

The location of the cottage was great. Close to the water and walking distance to downtown. Would definitely recommend and would rent again when we return to GOTL!

Fun time at GOTL!

The cottage was just as described. It was very clean and there was plenty of space for the 6 of us. It was a 20 minute walk to the strip which was wasn’t bad. If you plan on cooking, I would suggest taking a pan. We cooked breakfast every day and one dinner and I was thankful we had our own pans. The one provided was small and not nonstick. We would definitely stay here again!

Girls Weekend Away

The property was placed next to Lake Erie as described. It was a short walk to the shore with a protective seawall. Inside very clean and accommodations as described. Beds great to sleep in. Outside patio area very nice with charcoal grill /fire ring. It was nice to have access to washer & dryer.

It was amazing

It was absolutely amazing. We had an excellent trip and did not want to leave! The cottage was exactly as described and had plenty of room for our family of 6.

Property was great. Communication was excellent. A little further from the strip then we anticipated but the taxi services were on point with that.

Barefoot bungalow

Everything went very well with the property. My friends were very happy with the property. We had a blast!!! The only negative is going through VRBO. I probably will not go through VRBO again. Too many mistakes with booking. Didnt like having to take out a loan to secure the property and the interest rate. Ridiculous. Corporate greed.

Birthday Bike Trip

Great location and roomy cottage! The place was clean. The amenities were nice. Our only complaint was having only one roll of toilet paper when two were advertised. We had to make a run to Dollar General. We had six guests and only five bath towels which wasn’t a big deal as not everyone chose to use the shower. At other homes we’ve rented they have provided a small stash of cards and games which was a nice surprise. You could consider this as a bonus for your guests - just a thought.

2 Families Away for the Long Weekend.

Third year in a row staying at Barefoot Bungalow. Everything is super easy with Ron and Megan. We know exactly what is to be expected. Very close to the strip and just a short walk to the private beach area. Updates to the house make it so much more comfy. Our 2 families always have a great time hanging and relaxing at the Barefoot Bungalow. Next year, we are just hoping for warmer weather.

Decent cottage if you are looking for something basic

The “beach access” situation was a little weird. It’s definitely not like a beach, it’s all rocks with a small area of sand. I thought it would be something we could bring a chair down and hangout. Also the beach was basically on the big house property so that was a little strange. The post says Wi-Fi and cable. After already booking you then learn the Wi-Fi sucks. The cable didn’t work at all so on a rainy day there wasn’t much to do. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the camera at the front door, also looked like some camera thing in the living room, made us uncomfortable. Upon arrival we couldn’t get into the cottage because there were bees and wasp everywhere. I called and basically was told not their problem. It was convenient property but I would definitely keep on looking for something better.

Girls weekend away

The property was in a nice location close to things. A clear path down to the water would be helpful for people with knee and back issues. Steep hill is difficult. However the water space is beautiful. We had issues with no blind on the living room front window. It is a large window and the neighbors across the road and anyone coming down the road could see right in. As a group of women this was very uncomfortable. The worse thing is the camera inside the cottage in the living room. We were totally uncomfortable with that and would be the main reason we would not come back. In previous reviews you were told about the blind and said you would take care of that. We based out decision to stay on the fact that you handled it. We have to say all the people were very nice at the restaurants and stores.

Wonderful communication with Megan

Very clean and adorable cottage. Location is perfect if you want the lake vibe, close to the strip and quaint feel. Only downside was one room had one window without blinds or curtain. Megan communicated often prior to stay so overall was a fabulous stay!

Nice place overall but

I liked the property. Wish it was closer to the strip. And the private beach was not what I expected. It was not set up for swimming with all of the big rocks and no sand at all. We had to go elsewhere to swim.
