Our Favorite Place!!!

My son and I absolutely love Fripp Island. It is so beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming, making it the perfect place to escape and relax. We have stayed here twice and can't imagine staying anywhere else. It is so cozy, private, and central to everything on the island. Laurie provides everything you need for your stay, is incredibly attentive to all your questions and concerns, and goes out of her way to ensure you have a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back!

Lovely location

Staying on the marsh side of Fripp Island was wonderful, with Bald eagles and ospreys flying overhead, palms and pines swaying in the wind, and deer frequenting the yard. We loved having an outdoor patio for meals. The beds were very comfortable, and the living space worked great for us with our 3 grandkids.We had no AC for the first 4 days of our trip, which was a bit frustrating. It took the host a full day to respond, but when she did, she worked hard to get it remedied. It just made for some bad nights of “sleep”. Thankfully, we did have fans. The place could use some fixing up, but it worked well for our purposes.

Much needed vacation

This was our third trip to this property and we love this place. Houses is located in the perfect spot to see nature and in a very relaxing atmosphere. Having the golf cart to get around island is also a plus. The owner is also very quick to respond to any needs. Can’t wait to return!

Fripp Island getaway

My family and I absolutely loved our first trip to Fripp Island. Our hostess was extremely helpful and we were pleased with our accommodations. We truly felt right at home. We were just a short golf cart ride to anywhere on the island. We loved riding around and were excited about all the wildlife we came into contact with. Our kids rode their bikes everywhere and felt very safe doing so. We are already planning another trip in the future!

Clean and comfortable

Great home in a great location. The marsh sunsets are amazing. There was plenty of room in the home and it was clean and comfortable with everything we needed to have an amazing week on Fripp. The owner was very responsive and we had zero issues.

Great family week

My family and I just stayed this past week and had a blast. Kids are 2, 4, and 7 and we felt like they were accommodated very well. The golf cart was super helpful to have even though we also brought our golf cart from home as well. Home is very well equipped with kitchen supplies, towels, etc. we definitely all felt at home. We love Fripp and have stayed at various places over the years and we'd absolutely stay here again.

Spring break beach trip

We spent spring break with our grandchildren at the property. The kids loved that they could ride their bike everywhere. My grandson loved the fishing. We enjoyed the time we spent at the house. The property owner was great.

Fripp Island Vacation

We enjoyed our visit very much. The house was exactly what we were looking for, for a relaxing couple of weeks. We felt at home. The beach is easily accessible, and the wildlife on the island was fun to watch, especially the deer. Communication with the host was excellent. Thank You !

Vacation with small dog

Nice neighborhood with private pool And the Golf cart was a plus . Lots of room & kitchen had all we needed. Thankful that a leaf blower that was furnished to tidy up around the porch areas . Home was clean, but moldings in the bathrooms were very thick with Dust & hair . So I wipe those off. Sheets on king bed were not clean. Dog hair was on them . Our puppy doesn’t shed & we had not sleep in the bed yet anyway. The wash machine worked great, except on spin cycle. The machine would vibrate all the way into the kitchen floor . The dryer took a very long time to dry clothes. So my husband worked on the hose leading out from the dryer. It was too long & cramped. Laundry area had slat folding doors that were off the hinges & just propped up. My husband fixed those. Other than repairs that my husband had to do and the termite man coming to spray the home in the middle of our stay with our puppy there, we have no complaints. Fripp is a beautiful island that we’ve vacationed for 20 yrs.

Great location

The house is in a great location with the marsh walk and the pool very close by, great neighborhood. The master bed was extremely comfortable. The house itself was well stocked and spacious but could use some sprucing up.

Fripp trip

We had a great stay. The house was clean with a well stocked kitchen. The golf cart and pool make it perfect. Laurie is quick to respond with answers.

Sufficient yet disappointed

We stayed at this property July 29th - August 3rd, 2023. We were encouraged to visit the island based on recommendations from friends who had vacationed at Fripp with their families. We chose this property based on recommendations to rent a home that has golf carts as that will be our main transportation. Upon arrival, the golf carts where not operational nor safe to drive. Based on communication with the property manager, we were told the golf carts where not actually "included" with the home rental? We did sign a golf cart release and it is listed as included with the home. We then had to spend another $450 to rent a golf cart. The oven didn't work so we couldn't cook food items we purchased so they went to waste as well. Communication with the property manager was prompt and the home was comfortable, but we were disappointed in items that were promised in the listing. After we returned from the trip, we told our friends what happened with the golf cart and they told us a similar issue happened with them but rental was brought to them immediately. The island is wonderful, however if you choose based on amenities advertised, I can not recommend this property.

Excellent stay!

We loved our vacation at Sawgrass on Fripp! Laurie was so helpful and kind, and the house was perfectly clean and comfortable. We were surrounded by deer, songbirds, ospreys flying overhead, and we even saw a bald eagle perched right over the deck! Perfect renting experience from start to finish.

Wonderful stay!

We had a few delays with check in but the owner was very quick to get everything fixed. We had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed staying at this home during our vacation.

Fripp Island, SC. is a gated community and private island north of Hilton Head. There is plenty to do on the island... rent a kayak, a bike or hop in a golf cart and go exploring! There are miles of bike paths, nature trails, fishing and crabbing docks, tennis courts, 2 golf courses and beautiful sandy beaches to name a few. Go site-seeing and visit our neighboring cities such as historic Beaufort (15 mi.), Hunting Island (right over the bridge), Hilton Head (45 mi.) or Charleston SC (90min)
