Breckinridge getaway

The cabin was very nice and beautiful scenery. However we all struggled with altitude issues!! It is way up in the mountains! I’ve never had issues breathing ever in the mountains from hunting in the back country to staying in cabins but this one kicked my butt for sure!

The views are legit!!

We had a group of 6 celebrating a 40th birthday and had plenty of room and could have even had a few more especially with the bunk beds. Enjoyed the hot tub especially watching the sun come up in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee and at night viewing the stars. Also enjoyed the game room and played cards every day. The house was easy to find and glad we had an suv as the driveway was steep. Took a little walk around the neighborhood enjoying the houses and views of Mt Quandary. We had some issues with the altitude and even going up and down the stairs wore us out. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and have a bottle of ibuprofen. Enjoyed a couple days in Breckenridge and then went south one day to check out Alma and FairPlay. Needed some salt for the shuffleboard game but managed without it. Even though there was Wi-Fi we had some trouble with reception. Also, after flushing the toilet, it sounded like someone coming down the stairs or stomping around.

Gorgeous Mountain Getaway

Large entertaining space with gorgeous views overlooking Breckenridge! Definitely more of a phone-less getaway experience (service and wifi unstable at the property but it was great to disconnect). Comfortable beds and sleeping arrangements provided a cozy getaway.

Great place!

Our family spent a great spring break here. We especially enjoyed the shuffleboard and foosball with our two teenagers. The sleds in the garage were a nice surprise, and we enjoyed our first sledding experience down the driveway! Overall great house, I would definitely recommend to any family looking to stay near Breckenridge.

Great location and Mountain View’s.

House is well equipped with cookware and serving plates. Hot tub was welcomed after long hikes. Breckenridge is a short drive. Neighborhood is private and quiet. I would book again.

Heakins Family Stay

The property was amazing. This property is easy to access just need to make sure you have a 4 wheel drive in the winter. Very clean. The only thing is make sure you are prepared for the altitude. I would definitely make sure I have the medicine the owners recommend.

Very beautiful, well appointed home in scenic mountain surroundings.

My family of eight stayed at this beautiful property nestled in the mountains approximately 9 miles south of Breckenridge, CO. The house is well appointed and kept pretty clean (just a couple of small issues that the management took care of very quickly). Plenty of room to move around and not feel crowded. Very large kitchen and dining area. Beautiful open main floor with vaulted ceiling. The upstairs master bedroom is huge with a very large, comfortable king-size bed, and beautiful master bathroom with large shower, large 2-person jacuzzi tub, and two separate sinks. There is a bedroom on the main floor with a comfortable queen bed. The bathroom with shower is unattached (part of the main floor). The lower floor (main entrance in the winter time) has two bunk bedrooms (with the lower bunk being larger than the upper for each bedroom). The bunk beds were comfortable. The lower floor also has a round card table that sits eight and a set of comfortable leather couches with a large HD TV to view. The lower floor also has a full sized table shuffleboard and foosball table that we utilized quite often (the shuffleboard is a hoot!). The hot tub is large. It can be a bit windy where it is located, but it is still a nice place to relax. From our standpoint if there are any drawbacks to this beautiful home it would be the altitude that the house is located at (~11K feet) relative to being short of breath, and the dryness / lack of humidity within the home. The altitude and dryness left us all breathing hard at night. We did rent a 2-person perpetual oxygen system that helped a bit, but for us midwesterners it was a tough go to get a complete night of sleep between the lack of oxygen and dry air. The small humidifiers located around the home are a bit inadequate to get the inside humidity >= 30%. We all had very dry noses throughout our stay. Perhaps the owner / managers will read this and install a larger humidifier system? We did come across a few issues for which the management and the owner helped to rectify, quickly and fairly. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Great house!

Guys fishing trip - plenty of room for everyone in the house, and at the dinner table! Great views from the deck. We enjoyed using the gas grill, and the shuffleboard, foosball and card table were enjoyed by all.

Amazing memories and beautiful views

Everything was perfect. The house. Checking in was easy. This home has amazing views. Higher alltitude was a struggle the 1st few days. But after that we enjoyed it even more. The owner sent us a personl email that was very welcoming. This is a beautiful home. That created amazing memories for our family. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Amazing Mountain View

We loved our stay at Quandry Village! The view of the mountains was spectacular!! The house was very clean and comfortable. We spent a lot of time outside, so we would have preferred to have more outdoor seating, like some Adirondack chairs and lounge chairs. Extra blankets in the house would have been very useful as well. Overall, we were very happy with our time here.

Gorgeous Views!

Beautiful home in gorgeous setting. The Breckenridge resort was only 15 minutes up the road and 25 or so to Keystone for night skiing. It was slammed with two big storms the days we were there. This made it a bit tricky as the driveway is a somewhat steep switch-back. The plow did clear the driveway every morning by 7:00am, and there were plenty of shovels for 5 of us to clear a path for cars when needed. Everything needed to cook at the home was provided and quite a few extras. :) We took advantage of the grill and hot tub, as well as the entertainment room. Tons of room to spread out and relax after hard days skiing. Book it! You won't regret it.

Great place to stay. The basement was a cozy place to hang out and socialize. The master suite was spacious. The drive to town was the only aspect that we didn’t care for. It was 20 minutes to get to main st Breckenridge. Hot tub was amazing !!

Mountain Retreat

The home is beautiful and situated in a private woods. You definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The home was well equipped with essential items such as soap, shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent, coffee and tea. The house is located about 20 minutes up from Breckenridge. Elevation is 11,200 feet. Drink lots of water! The views are worth the adjustment to altitude. We skied at Loveland Pass and would recommend it, great value and great staff!

Fantastic Mountain Retreat!!

We just spent a wonderful Christmas in this beautiful home and loved every minute! The amazing views, relaxing hot tub and abundant amenities place this home at the top of our list of favorites. We also loved the fact that it was convenient to Breckenridge but not right in the middle of the action. If you like being a little more remote but still less than 15 minutes from town, this is an excellent option. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals at home and the well equipped rec room offers a variety of activities for kids and teens alike. We greatly appreciated the attentiveness of the owners as well. They even set up a nice Christmas Tree for us!! All in all, we were very pleased and would absolutely stay here again.

Beyond our expectations!

Our family of eight recently stayed at Sky Lodge and it was far beyond our expectations. This was our gift to the family for Christmas in hopes of making memories to last a lifetime. Everyone had a wonderful time with plenty of room to relax around the house when we weren't outdoors soaking up the beauty. There was a lot of snow during our stay and one day it even snowed all day long. We stayed in enjoying the view as the main part of the house has wonderful views from all angles. The altitude did get to a few of us but we seemed to recover by the next day. You definitely won't regret your stay here.

A great getaway location for a large family or group of friends, but needs some maintenance.

Our family returned recently from a week in early August at the Sky Lodge and we really loved the location of this property. The view from the deck was amazing. This is probably the best stocked vacation home we have ever rented (and we rent from coast to coast) and I most certainly over-packed on the kitchen and pantry essentials. As in other reviews, the altitude of the cabin is high (just under 12k feet) and it takes a little while to get used to the thinner air, so for the first half of the week we all took a lot of naps until we became acclimated. This is a three level home, plus steps into the garage to leave and go anywhere, so until you get used to the altitude you are literally catching your breath at every level after climbing flights of stairs. The summer evenings were perfect for the hot tub and the shooting stars were endless in the night sky. There are aspects of the property that need to be addressed,which is why I only gave our stay a 4-star rating instead of 5 stars: There is a table and one bench on the porch to sit and that's all. We found three folding chairs in the garage and all but one were broken, along with the second broken bench. It's summertime and the view is gorgeous. There needs to be seating on all the decks, even off the master bedroom! The chiminea would have been a nice touch at night on the patio (it was in desperate need of cleaning) if we could have relaxed around it with seating. The game table downstairs has had the glass broken out of it and not been replaced, so you can't use the table for anything because it's a wagon wheel. However, the game room is one of the reasons we rented the home and our adult kids loved the shuffleboard table and working on a puzzle together during down time. Overall, it's a nice family rental and the humidifiers in all the bedrooms was much appreciated, as well as the fully stocked kitchen. I just believe that management needs to communicate better with the owners on what needs to be updated and replaced as it's what they are paid to do - manage the property. Some decor was broken on that mantle that left me sad for the owners as I could see the thought and time it took to bring Texas to the Colorado mountains. The email from the owners (who live in Austin, Tx) was very nice to have in preparation for our trip and came complete with all the How-To's to go with a nice welcome.

Birthday Getaway

This was an amazing house! I did not want to leave at all. The house is very well maintained and fully equipped with everything you need to cook as far as seasonings go it was all there ! The views were beautiful and it was so peaceful during the whole trip. You have your own privacy in your own small part of the forest. The trip to the town is about 13 minutes away so you are still near by if you want to get to town. I would love to come back to this house in the future everything is updated and well maintained! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
