A beautiful peaceful place

We discovered this lovely property a few years ago and have made an annual visit for the past 5 years and we have not been disappointed! Amazing views of the Bay, a pool, and a cozy house made for relaxing... its the perfect escape.

Another amazing Baycation!!

We LOVE this place! The house, the location and the hosts are absolutely wonderful! It is a perfect place to unwind and disconnect from the madness of the city or life in general--so peaceful and relaxing. Thank you again for allowing our family to stay for a 3rd year, we are forever grateful and looking forward to the next time!

Great

Beautiful place and surroundings, nice and clean. Enjoyed watching the dolphins, the bald eagle, and other wildlife with some otters that came to visit one morning. Even though the rain didn't cooperate at times we did get to enjoy the pool a few days. Jen was really nice and answered any questions. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Wonderful Vacation

We had the best week at this beautiful home! We loved the decor and felt right at home from the minute we arrived. This home has everything you would need or want, from the fully stocked kitchen to pool toys. We had beautiful weather all week and although it was very hot we didn't care because we floated in the pool every day looking at the amazing views. We took a half hour ride to Kilmarnock where there are restaurants, shops, and boutiques. We had lunch at Small Town Burger, one of the best burgers we ever had. Jen and Jim were readily available for any questions we had! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we can't wait to return!

Perfect weather week on the bay.

Great stay, property as described. Owner very responsive to texting or messaging on app. Road bikes to downtown Reedville more than once, fished, swam, built fires, enjoyed the pool, kayaking and sat around enjoying the views and calm breeze off the bay. Would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed our stay

House location is perfect. Right on the bay. Beautiful views. Pool looked nice but too cold to use. Plenty of room for our group. Comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking. Could have used a few more bath/hand towels but well supplied with all the essentials.

Best VRBO I ever stayed in

This property is an absolute bargain. Prettier then the pictures show. Very clean and everything you need is there. The amenities offered are unbelievable. We enjoyed the kayaks, waterboard, pool, and fire pit. This VRBO has set a high bar for all the others.

Ready to go back!

What a wonderful home with a crazy beautiful view! There were so many fun things to do even though it rained and stormed almost the entire time we were there. But the disco ball definitely put “the icing on the cake” for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday! So fun! We can’t wait to return to enjoy all the other fun outdoor activities we didn’t get to do!

Another great stay

This was our 4th time I think staying here and it's such a lovely house! All you need to relax! There was a late communication about bringing our own pool towels, but hopefully it will be communicated earlier in the future. Such a treasure in the Bay!

A Special Place

We really enjoyed our stay. The views, the wildlife, the pool and the bay were all highlights. Quiet and somewhat private. Went out on a very successful fishing charter with Fishers bay charters.

Another Perfect Baycation

This was our second stay at The Baycation House and it did not disappoint. The house was stocked with essentials, the picturesque views of the bay are unmatched, and the pool was perfect. The six of us (four adults and two children) had plenty of space and loved that we could all fit comfortably at the large dining room table. Jen was quick to respond and offered great suggestions if you plan on venturing off their little slice of tucked away paradise. Already looking forward to our next stay at the “blue house” as my kids my deemed it! Thank you!

Happy New Years!

This house is just perfect for a family gathering! My three children and their spouses and our granddaughter stayed here for a long weekend to ring in the new year. There is enough room to spread out but still be together. We always had a jigsaw puzzle in the works on one table, a game going on the dining room table and some watching a movie on the TV. There are plenty of good books to read and games and puzzles to play. Lots of toys for kids too. The view is spectacular. We spent the first day and night gathered around the fire pit. The next two days were rainy but there was so much to do inside we just enjoyed the family time. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen at a rental. They have everything you would ever need! Even a disco light , which we had on every night for dance parties with the 4 year old! We had a wonderful time ringing in the new year here!

Best baycation

5th time staying in this lovely home and it's still as charming as the first visit. Great communication and house has pretty much everything you could need for a stay on the Chesapeake Bay.

Beautiful Views of the Bay

Lovely, secluded bay house with gorgeous views of the bay. So relaxing to sit in the Adirondack chairs and watch the [occasional] boats sail by. Inside was typical Chesapeake Bay decor: very comfortable and homey. Unfortunately due to the dry weather, we couldn’t keep the falling pine needles and maple leaves out of the pool. And a caution if you are looking for a nearby restaurant Monday-Wednesday as most are closed until Thursday. Very enjoyable stay!

Relaxing Family Vacation

This was our first family vacation with everyone, and it was perfect. The view of the bay is just gorgeous, we could sit there for hours. The pool is amazing and the house is one of the cleanest I've been in. The kitchen is very well stocked, this mad it easy to have nice family dinners! Also it was very easy to contact Jen if needed and she responded quickly. We can't wait to come back!! Patty Scatena

Baycation House

We had a lovely time on vacation at this property. It was clean upon arrival and presented exactly as shown online. It is very well stocked as mentioned in previous reviews. We appreciated the professional grade cookware as we too enjoy cooking. The pool was great and we enjoyed the House Party disco lights, what a fun touch. The area is remote which we wanted, but some establishments nearby were only open Thursday- Sunday. We booked a boat ride with Allon Z Charters. It was fantastic and we highly recommend doing this for a few hours. Would definitely rent this place again. Thank you, Jen!

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

If relaxation in a quiet, picture perfect location is what you are looking for, look no further! This trip is exactly what our family needed! As soon as you enter the driveway you feel like you have entered another world. Your eyes will be drawn straight to the bay. The house was decorated in true bay-cation fashion and was equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. The swimming pool is what had us sold and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed watching all of the boats go by and were pleasantly surprised by all the “visitors” we had… Turtles, rabbits, lizards, we even saw a bald eagle. Typically by the end of the week everyone is ready to head back home, however, we all wished we could have stayed a little longer. Thank you Jen and Jim for sharing your lovely bay home with us! We hope to be back again soon!

Wonderful family house

We had a great visit. The house is in an excellent spot; right on the bay with great views and fishing. Add the pool, and you're set for the weekend! The house was very well stocked; I've never stayed anywhere that had EVERYTHING you could need. The owner is very attentive and quick to respond. We will definitely come back!!

Perfect spot

We very much enjoyed our stay, it had everything we needed. Our kids spent the whole trip enjoying the pool while I couldn’t take my eyes of the expansive view!

We are so proud of our bay house and we want to share it with others. We are a family of 5 which includes 3 young boys that love the outdoors and they are always busy. That is why our house has many indoor and outdoor activities provided. So at the end of everyday your children (and adults too) are tired and ready for bed!

We discovered the Northern Neck in the winter of 2012 when we rented a house over President's Weekend. We loved it so much we returned to the Northern Neck for our childrens' April vacation. After that we decided to start looking for a vacation home of our own.

The house has many great features. The most obvious is the amazing view of the Chesapeake Bay. You can watch the sunrise every morning from the family room, pool deck, the hammock or from the Adirondack chairs in the yard. The pool and the bay are both great spots to relax on a raft or take a dip to cool off. Or you can take a kayak out for a relaxing ride or a good workout. For the more adventurous people you can go fishing and crabbing in the bay too.
