Welcome to the Blue Peacock, our charming turn-of-the-century guest house! This lovely home features four spacious bedrooms and two quaint bathrooms, perfect for sharing with family or friends. The well-equipped kitchen and inviting living room provide plenty of space for everyone to relax.

The Peacock is an old home, over 100 years old. There are more than normal steps to the second floor, and there is also an original claw-foot tub in the second-floor bath. The house has most of the amenities of a modern home and is quite perfect for groups to gather. It is located one block from Main Street and the City Park, close to downtown and riverfront events. It is a very safe neighborhood. The corner lot has a backyard and ample on-street parking.

Ideally located halfway between Chess Park and Monongahela's Central Business District, the Blue Peacock is suitable for short- and long-term stays. Three bedrooms include comfortable queen beds, while the fourth bedroom offers two twin beds.

Always leave the blinds DOWN and some lights ON when departing. Please help us to verify that all windows are closed. Please do your dishes.
Do not try to clean the second-floor tub. Please leave dirty towels in laundry baskets and take the trash to the trash cans before you go.

This comfortable, clean, eclectic and welcoming historic home worked well as a family space for our gathering of local and dispersed family of 5 adults and an active 3-year old. House has a/c, thankfully! Kitchen is decently stocked with plates/utensils/etc and seats six. Stove is gas if that helps, and the coffee pot is drip, and easy to use. Beds are comfortable! Plenty of living room seating, and if you need it, TV gets Bluey and there’s lots of dancing area, so that’s helpful!Eat-n-Park and their Smiley cookies are a few blocks away for any meal, and Fox’s pizza delivers. Grocery store is a couple of blocks away, and downtown Mon City has a variety of shops, coffee, bakery, etc.Monongahela’s aquatorium gives a ‘something different’ place, for concerts, river and train watching. Excellent playgrounds, walking/running/biking trails and picnicking can be had at Mingo Creek county park on 136 a few miles away, our favorite place. And you’re only 25 miles from Pittsburgh. Best of all, prompt and very helpful communications from/with the owner, and super easy check-out procedure! Thanks, Andres! We’ll likely be back!

Great for families!

We were coming into the area to go to Kennywood with family and friends and this house was perfect with 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Super cute!! Would absolutely stay again should we find ourselves in that area. If you’re staying for more than a couple of days, you might want to get paper plates and plastic ware as there is no dishwasher. Andres was very accommodating and had great communication.

Surprise Birthday party in Monongahela

My husband's family is from Monogahela and we had an 85th birthday celebration for my mother-in-law. It was a wonderful home to stay in. Very clean and loved the decorations. The house is huge! Andres was so nice to work with. Very prompt with any questions. Only stayed one night. Would have been happy to stay a week. Thank you for sharing your home!

Ideally located just one block from Main Street and Chess Park, you'll enjoy easy access to local events, dining, and riverfront activities.

Light, bright, airy bedrooms with TV, WiFi, top-of-the-line mattresses, and a restful sleeping experience. 3 BR on the 2nd level with one bath. 1 BR on the first level with one bath. The HUGE family-friendly living area on the first floor with an eat-in kitchen and cozy furnishings. There are plenty of blankets, extra linens, and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee pot, toaster, and microwave. It is even equipped with most amenities you may have forgotten. Enjoy a variety of board games, puzzles, card games, and books for cozy indoor fun. For outdoor relaxation, challenge friends to a game of cornhole or unwind on the inviting front porch.
Old world charm in a historic little city. Safe, ample on-street parking.
