I have stayed in many apartments in Jerusalem, and I have never had a bad experience. This apartment not only maintained that record but really exceeded all expectations. I unhesitatingly recommend this property. It was great for our family, and the owner was so easy to deal with.
The location is wonderful, just a minute off Emek Refaim, so you get the best of both worlds: proximity to a hot spot, and enough distance from the traffic on it. The apartment is spotless, well-kept, and nicely arranged. There is even a cable TV (but who has time for TV when visiting Israel?) We are a family of four, and the three bedrooms were perfect. We even invited a guest for two of the nights we were there, and our kids had no trouble bunking together those nights as there are plenty of beds. The master bedroom was very comfortable; I'm sure it helped ease the jet lag away.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook, but we only used it to warm up Shabbat food. The rest of the time we ate out in the stunning array of restaurants on Emek. We did not come close to eating in them all. There is a supermarket (Israeli version) on Emek, where you can get basically anything you might need. If you can't find it there, you'll get it at the Mega about a mile away.
It's less than 30 minutes to get to the kotel from here, and it was a pleasure to walk back. Walking to the kotel is more uphill, so plan accordingly.
Although the apartment does not have a dedicated parking spot, I never had any trouble finding a place to park on the street. It's paid parking from 8 am to 8 pm, but if you're resourceful you will find something free nearby.
In short, my family and I loved this apartment -- for its space, its convenience, and, of course, its location, location, location. I wholeheartedly recommend it to others, and I will be sure to come back here again and again.
