Bourbon Oak Hideaway 1 offers a studio efficiency style apartment to serve as your home away from home in historic Bardstown. Located within easy walking distance of historic Bardstown and right in the midst of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The unit is located on the second story adjacent to our Bourbon Oak Hideaway 2 and Bourbon Oak Loft and next door to Bourbon Oak Smokehouse Cottage. Our owners occupy and live on the first floor level of the building. Guest will have full access to the entire unit. This is a historic building where we have tried to add some modern conveniences to offer our guest an exceptional stay. Bourbon Oak Hideaway 1 offers a queen size bed, sitting and eating area along with a full bath. You will find a fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils should you decide to cook in. Our journey began as a small family-owned operation, driven by a deep appreciation for the rich heritage of Kentucky Bourbon and the need for warm, welcoming accommodations in the “Bourbon Capital of the World.”

Our parents, Robert “Bobby” and Carol Simpson, recognized the growing demand for affordable, temporary housing as Kentucky Bourbon gained popularity. They lovingly restored and transformed historic properties to create unique, comfortable stays that provide a true “home away from home” experience.
