Condo was in a great location, near Wailea beach and town. Short drive to Wailea pubic beach access, perfect for south Maui. The condo community is very well maintained with an awesome pool and beach access area that we spent a lot of time at. This unit is a 5-10 minute walk down a pretty steep hill to the main beachfront pool area, no problem for my wife and daughters and I but that may be something to think about for people with mobility challenges. The condo itself is clean and well appointed, with a large patio area that you can see ocean views in the background from. Overall great value.

10/10 from the easy and quick communication with the host and property manager, to the most amazing home. The property had every amenity needed and then some. The cleanliness, layout, location, patio, pool, and all the additional things that came with it made the trip amazing. The beach is one of the most beautiful places on the island where we spent a lot of our time swimming, playing, and watching whales right from the beach. We will be back for sure.

Lovely condo. Great value!

Comfortable condo easily accessible to the Wailea beach path. Nice beach. The condo was well-appointed with all kitchen things one would want. Sunsets from the lanai are beautiful but more so from the property’s large green space or the beach.

Fantastic stay in an amazing location!

Shannon went above and beyond to assist us when our reservation was canceled due to the wildfire. This property far and away exceeded our expectations! It was immaculate, spacious and quiet. The views from the lanai were a great treat to wake up to and the unit is only a 5 minute walk to the pavilion/beach area. Highly recommended! Thank you!

Great Place to Stay

Visited with my wife and teenager. We all loved it. We followed up our stay with a couple days at an expensive resort and everyone liked the condo better. Tips: (1) check out the beach equipment sooner rather than later. There's lots of great stuff in there. (2) If you're looking for bigger waves, we liked Chang's Beach, a 10 min drive south (sadly, no showers there) or Big Beach - though the waves there can be TOO big. Loved our stay and would absolutely recommend!

Great Ekahi stay.

Enjoyed our week in this condo. It is the largest 1bedroom we have stayed in at Ekahi. Loved the oversized lanai overlooking the ravine - nice private space to do morning yoga. Condo was well stocked with almost everything we needed. A few plastic wine glasses could be added to the kitchen collection. We appreciated the books and games that were provided. Owner and property manager were both accessible and helpful. We have stayed at Ekahi many times. The pool pavilion and beach can’t be beat!

Amazing! Loved it!

I’ve been looking forward to this trip for nearly a year! When I saw this property was available, I jumped on it. The property is well maintained, clean, has all the amenities, is walking distance to the beach, close to the Wailea beach path, has fantastic pools and “neighbors.” We couldn’t have been more happy with the property, the location and our entire stay. It was perfection…and I really hope we can return one day. We will definitely plan our any future trips around this property’s availability. I have already recommended it to friends!

Ekahi Condo

We have stayed 5 years in a row at Ekahi Village. The grounds and pools are amazing. This was our first time in this unit. We found it needed a good deep cleaning, appliances were dirty, and we had some cockroach problems we’ve never had before on any of our tropical stays. (We realize bugs are a part of life.). We also found the property manager delayed getting us a refund when we had to change our dates.

The Perfect 40th Birthday

We have been to Maui a good number of times, and I don't think you can find a better spot. The Condo is very nice, has everything you would ever need, and is in a perfect location. The property itself matches the condo. Very nice, everything you would ever need (pools, beach/pool pavilion, one of the best beaches), all right there in a perfect location. The condo comes with every beach/pool gear you would need. The owner is responsive and very open, and friendly. Would stay here again and again. Look forward to coming back. We traveled the island, we stayed and had beach days with Sunsets, just everything was perfect for our trip. Cant wait for a redo. Thank for you helping make my wife's Birthday trip one she will never forget.

Great location, beautiful beach and pools

Large one bedroom with bunk beds off the living room, good for smaller children. Great kitchen with every possible cooking utensils, dishes and pots. Overall, the condo was upgraded several years ago but it is dark. Patio furniture could use some updating. Lots of beach toys, local property manager was very quick to respond to a concern. Good AC, 2 nice bathrooms and appliances are all great, nice to be able to do laundry. Mahalo!

Condo With Partial Ocean Views

The condo is located near the turnoff to go into the property. It has a partial ocean view, and it's about a five-minute walk to the large pool and amenities near the beach. The property in general is kept up well, and the pool area is well maintained and has lots of lounge and table seating, and some umbrellas. We enjoyed sitting by the pool when not on the beach. The condo itself was well equipped. The kitchen had just about anything you would need, and the owners had a nice supply of beach chairs, boogie boards, toys, etc. The condo has a nice deck and covered lanai area. As some reviewers have mentioned, the condo is a bit dark partially because of the dark walls and dark cabinets and granite in the kitchen. We thought the previous reviews were a bit inflated, because the some of the furniture and decor could use refurbishing. Although we probably would not choose this condo in the future, we did have a nice stay. This was at least our sixth stay in Wailea, and our first stay at Ekahi.

Great property, poorly managed.

We rented this as a staycation for a couple nights for Father’s Day. We spent the first two hours of the trip cleaning the property. We swept up 3 dust-pans full of sand and debris from someone else’s stay. There were drink marks on the counter tops, rings in the toilets, and laundry still in the dryer. The dishwasher was broken, and neither the WiFi nor the cable were functioning. We took cold showers. Luckily, the grounds were amazing and the pool was perfect for us! The condo has great potential to be a perfect getaway, but the owner needs to find a way to have it managed properly. I understand, with covid happening, that things haven’t been normal. But if you can’t have your property in shape enough to rent it out, don’t collect money on it. We were very disappointed.

What a shame to receive this review. We rent a beautiful condo and people have nothing but positive amazing things to say. This would be a first negative. We are extremely attentive owners. We take pride in having our condo be beautiful. If something is broken, we replace it immediately and on a rush basis. Let me start with we rented to these guests who live on Maui to be kind given the circumstances of COVID. We do not normally rent for a two night rental. We waived the housekeeping fee for them and allowed early check in. All of these concerns were addressed immediately with this guest and taken care of as soon as possible. They did not advise that they had a cold shower and I am not sure their reason for taking a cold shower. Their response to me appeared to be satisfaction. Unfortunately with all condo owners we were unable to rent as of March due to COVID and although our condo sat empty until these guests arrived we took the extra step to have our condo checked on and lanai cleaned each week. We hired our contractor to look at the dishwasher who arrived within the hour. He confirmed that it was not working. Rather than repair, I immediately ordered a new dishwasher on Island. We were the last guests in the condo prior to COVID closure and the dishwasher was working great at that time. We hired our cleaner to clean prior to their arrival and this was completed. Immediately upon the guests stating that they had to sweep upon their arrival, i contacted our cleaner and she confirmed to me with pictures that sweeping was completed with the arrival clean. Immediately upon notification that the wifi and cable was not functioning, I called Spectrum. Spectrum had made an error, apologized to me and went through the process to turn it back on. The guests explained that this was okay as they are from Maui and had their cell phones. I sincerely hope your future rental experiences are positive. I certainly know that all our past guests and future guests have and will continue have a wonderful positive experience in a beautiful condo.

Lovely property but in need of some TLC

The Ekahi complex is lovely with beautiful gardens and nice pools. The easy access to the beach is a huge plus of staying here. This unit had a pleasant view of the gardens. The unit was well equipped with almost everything you could need in the kitchen, but it does need a few repairs and some maintenance work done. As most reviews mention it is a little dark and the under cabinet lights don’t work. Our biggest complaint was due to the dishwasher. The closing mechanism broke on day 6 of our 9 day stay so I phoned the property manager as instructed. She didn’t call me back so I called her again the next day and she said she would send a handyman over to have a look. That day the handyman came by, took a look at the dishwasher and then left. We never heard anything back from either the property manager or the handyman so after another 2 days I messaged the owner here was her response: "the plumber has ordered a part but that part won't arrive to the island for a week. is there enough dish soap for washing? If you run out please let me know and I will hire the cleaner to deliver more." I think she should have sent the cleaner over to do the dishes. It still wasn’t repaired when we left on day 9. I would stay at the Ekahi again, but I don’t think I would book this particular unit.

Nice place, but the price is not the price

I usually stay at Ekolu Village but couldn't find a place there. Ended up here in Ekahi. The gardens are beautiful and mature, but the complex is more dense. That took getting used to. But the complex is nice, as is it's beachfront access and pool. A couple things: when I first reserved the condo, the host came back with slightly higher price than VRBO said. When I asked why, I was told it was passing on the fee for the owner to transfer the money out from VRBO (or something like that). In many years of using VRBO I've never heard of such a thing. But it worked out to ~one hundred $. I was afraid to lose the place so close to my departure, so I sucked it up. If it had been a little further out, I would have walked. The unit is nice, especially the lanai. It is a little on the darker side as some have commented, but that's just part of being a downstairs unit - but it's also nice that you don't have to walk up stairs just to get in the front door. There's an outdoor closet with chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, ice chest, snorkel gear, etc - so be sure to check it out before you buy or rent a bunch of gear. Lastly, the unit is not at the end of Malukai Ln where the VRBO map shows it. It's actually right off Wailea Alanui Dr. At first I was super irritated as traffic noise drives me crazy. But, in the end, I never once heard a car go by. But I suggest you look at an Ekahi map to see where this unit (or any Ekahi unit) actually sits. Very helpful/responsive host

We are a family of five who have been enjoying Maui for many years. When we stayed at Wailea Ekahi Village for the first time, we knew this gorgeous place on earth was where we would have a second home.

Having been to Maui many times over the years we have learned what makes a vacation with a family a little more smooth. We have tried to put all of those things into our condo ranging from hooks for hanging wet beach clothes, USB stick full of movies for children's 'down time', office desk for those of us who have to stay connected, a second fridge for thirsty kids, and many more.

We hope we haven't forgotten even the smallest detail to make your vacation, fun, easy and care-free. We want you to have all the amenities that you would have at home but know that you are away in a special heavenly place to relax and enjoy.

With the warmest Aloha, we welcome you to enjoy our second home!
