This cozy retreat sits alongside a serene creek, surrounded by lush greenery that makes every season magical. The guest suite is private, thoughtfully furnished, and located on the lower level of our home.

We live on the top floor, ensuring you’ll have all the privacy you need while knowing we’re nearby if you need assistance or recommendations for the area. Whether you’re here to explore the great outdoors or relax by the creek with a good book, our space is designed to make your stay upstate a good one.

The Creek House is also perfectly situated near some of the region's most iconic attractions. Take a 15-minute drive to the Saugerties Lighthouse, a charming spot where the Hudson River meets the Catskill Mountains. Immerse yourself in the artistry and wonder of Opus 40, an extraordinary sculpture park just 5 minutes away. Just 30 minutes from Hunter Mountain and conveniently close to other popular ski resorts, making it a perfect base for winter sports enthusiasts. Peaceful retreat

We were visiting the Woodstock area to see our daughter performing at Woodstock Playhouse. The Creek House was the absolute perfect home base! Our hosts were lovely - got to meet them as we drove up. Their attention to detail was evident everywhere we looked from the sweet welcome message and cookies to the bedtime “story” they left for us to the care they clearly take of their property. (They even put up an arbor and planted flowers during our stay.). My husband could have happily spent the entire stay down by the creek listening to the water and enjoying the scenery. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing - a far cry from our own hectic lives. Our hosts were incredibly communicative and quick with responses to questions, even providing a perfect suggestion of somewhere for me to get a long run in during our stay. The space itself was large with everything we could need. I would definitely stay again if we’re ever back in the area and would recommend the Creek House to family and friends.

Nestled in the woods of Saugerties, our home is a peaceful retreat, yet it’s ideally situated between two of the Hudson Valley’s most beloved towns—Woodstock and Saugerties—both just a short drive away.

Woodstock, is known for its artsy, laid-back vibe, live music, and creative community, while Saugerties offers a quaint, historic downtown with great restaurants, unique shops, and a welcoming atmosphere. Nearby Kingston adds even more to explore, with its vibrant waterfront and dining scene.
