We stayed at Villa Triantafilia for a two week period in early August and had the most wonderful holiday. Located in Amaniou, a small village in the center of the island, Villa Triantafilia was the ideal launch point for exploring the island. As well, when we had enough of the tourist thing we found it to be a welcomed retreat away from the hustle and bustle and crowds.
The modern styled spacious and clean accommodations did not disappoint either. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfortable and the outdoor patio ( my morning coffee spot) offered a beautiful view of the mountains. I could go on and on about all the amenities, the outdoor barbecue, wifi, climate control but I think you get my point. The 2nd storey offered some very picturesque views of the sea and the mountains as well.
My wife and I also enjoyed walking the grounds of the Villa which contained some old ruins of a traditional village home as well as a large garden area which contained numerous rose bushes, grape vines, olive trees, fig trees, aloe plants as well as other local vegetation. This was all part of the gated area and was well maintained.
Looking forward to our next visit...
Rob and Edna.
