The Space:

Welcome to Bear Necessities, where every corner is delightfully adorned with bear-themed decor, creating an irresistibly cozy atmosphere! As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by the warmth of a natural gas fireplace, perfect for unwinding after a day of outdoor adventures.



The home features two bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed, ensuring a restful sleep for all guests. Additionally, the living room includes a sleeper sofa for added flexibility, making it a great option for extra guests.



The fully-equipped kitchen is ready for you to prepare delicious meals, which you can enjoy at the dining table or outside on the barbecue grill. Dine al fresco under the open skies or simply relax in the fresh air.



For your convenience, Bear Necessities includes one designated parking space. If you’re bringing a boat, there may be parking available at the marina for boat trailers, though please note that trailer parking is not available in the lot or nearby areas.



This pet-friendly home welcomes your furry companions to join in on the fun, ensuring no family member gets left behind!



Located just 15 miles from Schweitzer Ski Resort, Bear Necessities offers easy access to skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and other year-round outdoor activities. While the property doesn’t provide direct water access or recreational equipment, the beautiful waterfront and trails of Dover Bay Resort are just moments away, inviting you to soak in the natural beauty of the area.



Please note that, per Dover Resort rules, guests do not have access to the community hot tub, pool, or fitness facilities, as these are reserved exclusively for owners.

Great stay! House was very clean and just as pictured. Bedding and towels were very clean and in great condition, Kitchen was well appointed, location is wonderful just a few miles from downtown Sandpoint and so much to do in the area. Would stay again.

I absolutely loved this place. It was quiet very close to the lake. Was able to go walk through the community where everyone was social and easy going. I am already thinking about going back in the future.

We stayed 3 nights while visiting for a wedding, and it was great! Clean and quiet. On a map it looks a little far from Sand Point, but really it’s only about a 5 minute drive

Cute, clean, good beds,

Our stay was delightful our 95 yr old father visited with us there instead of us all sitting in his small Sr Living apartment. My husband, Brother and wife stayed there . The walks were enjoyable but always got caught in the rain. Sat was the 50’s Car show and the weather couldn’t have been better. We ate breakfast there but at our brother’s home in town and also out and about for all other meals. We felt it would have been nice to have salt and pepper, simple spices and spray oil for cooking which we have always had available in other stays.

Upon our arrival the house was set at 87 inside. It took until the next day to cool down. Upstairs continued to still stay warm and never got cool enough. Both beds were extremely uncomfortable. Couch was too small to seat our family on. Knives were too dull to use. Only people renting the bungalows can use the pool.

We apologize for the oversight on the temperature for your arrival, we do have a process in place to have homes cooled down and comfortable for arriving guests. Upstairs bathroom needs a small table to set things on very difficult to even have a toothbrush on the vanity. Towels were clean and nice squeegee was broken on the shower so I didn’t use the bedroom upstairs had no closet rod no hangers I didn’t know what to do with our clothes, except keep them in the suitcase.
