This is a great house in a beautiful spot. It was currently under renovation, but it is a great place to stay.

Mountain get away

Beautiful peaceful property and home. Great place to escape for a few days. Owners were very responsive and friendly.

Serenity at the Sparrow House

A great home and property that is well appointed. Comfortable beds, a spacious kitchen, and an extra large family were the perfect complement to the decks and outdoor fire pits. We enjoyed daily walks with our dogs down to and along the creek. A birder's paradise. We enjoyed the peacefulness and all the nature that the Sparrow House delivered.

So relaxing

We really enjoyed out time at Deb & Matt's place. It is obvious that they have gone to a lot of trouble to put sweet and thoughtful things in place to for folks to enjoy their stay. Beds were comfortable, the location was perfect for star gazing, and there was even a piano that a member of our group played to entertain us. All around a lovely way to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city!

Amazing Stay In the Mountains

Deb and Matt were amazing hosts! The property is beautiful and we were offered an ATV tour which was so much fun! I’d recommend this place, and hope to come back! My only issue was that it seemed to be a little dog hair on the couches, nothing crazy- we are just allergic to dogs so be mindful this is a pet friendly property when you stay here. a little allergy medicine fixed the issue :)

Hosts were readily available when contacted. Great location near the Maple Syrup Festival in McDowell, VA
