Great property in East Dallas

Property was wonderful and just as described. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. Proximity to restaurants and bars on Greenville is a big plus.

Great stay at Lower Greenville house!

Bruce was a great host! He met us a check in and walked us through the property and gave us some fantastic suggestions on local dining options. The house was perfect for our family and within an easy drive to local attractions and family members homes. I would highly recommend staying here!

Good location and beds but needs upkeep

The owner was very nice and greeted us. We used the pool a lot but the outside yard needs a lot of work. My husband has a picture of a rat on the window sill outside our bedroom.

In town for family wedding

Great location in Lower Greenville. Our group ranged in age from 60 to 88, this one-story property with an easy access rear entry worked out well for my father who has mobility issues. The interior was comfortable for our group of five adults. House was stocked with everything we needed. The pool area and garden, which you can tell was once fabulous, is much in need of some love and attention.

Dallas Wedding

We (family of four) were in Dallas for my nephew’s wedding. Bruce‘s place was perfect for us. Plenty to do nearby or just relax by the pool. Bruce was there for a paersonal, informative and very friendly welcome. The inside of the house was just as shown on the website. Only critique would be that the back yard could use a little upkeep but only a minor issue. We certainly enjoyed our time relaxing in this area. The neighborhoods in Lower Greenville are wonderful. Easy access to downtown. Highly recommend for a stay in Dallas.

Girls weekend

Having lived in the Dallas area before, I knew lower Greenville is a great location. The house is located on a corner so easy to find and so many dining/bar options within a quick walk. Bruce met us and gave us a tour of the property. Of the amenities we used, everything worked great. Personally, I took the Paris room for the backout blinds. Even though on a corner the house was quiet, and believe we all slept great. Next reunion will be in a different city, but would rent Bruce's place again if I had the need.

Great family weekend

We had a great stay with my 2 girls and parents. Played in the pool, enjoyed the back patio and had easy access to downtown and highland park.

Great location and fun for all

We had a great time at this property. We especially enjoyed being able to hang by the pool by day and then walking distance to great restaurants and bars in the evening.

Great House, very nice location

The house was very clean and nicely kept. Bruce showed us around the house and how everything worked upon arrival. Nice restaurants for breakfast/ lunch within walking distance. I highly recommend.

House is dirty!!!

Beware. The owner cleans this house himself and does not pay a professional cleaning service. The house is FILTHY. I’m not a clean freak at all. We arrived and spent two hours scrubbing everything we saw, especially in the kitchen. The inside of the fridge and microwave were gross with dried on food splatter. The microwave smelled bad as well. There was someone’s leftover food in the fridge. There’s a pandemic and I don’t want to have to touch someone else’s food just to throw it away. There was dried up food stuck to the table. The floors weren’t mopped. There was dust on every light fixture and spiderwebs in every corner and under every bed. The last day there I found used napkins in the bed. They weren’t ours. Pretty sure the sheets weren’t even clean. Frankly this house looks nothing like the pictures. The landscaping is extremely overgrown to the point there was actually ivy covering nearly every single window and even growing INSIDE the house in the front bedroom! If I had another option we would of left immediately but I promised my kids a visit with their godmother and a pool for the weekend. I’m not exaggerating and I’ve never left a negative review like this on a property before. This is the worst vrbo rental I’ve ever stayed in. The owner was super friendly but obviously doesn’t take care of the house. There were lightbulbs out in every room. The tv remote was stuck to the table and the batteries didn’t work. This house needs a serious deep cleaning and regular professional cleaning especially right now. This was completely unacceptable.

Not exactly as advertised.

There seems to be a discrepancy between the listing/what the manager thinks of the house and what it really was. I spoke on the phone with him beforehand to 1. Verify which doorknobs the home has so that o could purchase child safety locks since we have toddlers and the house has a pool. 2. To go over cleaning protocol during a time of COVID cases rising in the area. He told me the locks were standard round knobs. I bought the safety locks according only to find they were the ones with the pull handles. We ended up putting a door at each door. He also spent some time talking about how he preferred to clean the place himself to assure it was done right. The house was not very clean. I noted several cobwebs within minutes. The floor was dirty and the master bathtub produced black particles when I filled it for our kids’ bath. The tile was falling off of the master shower floor on the outside. The worst was that the front bedroom where our daughter slept smelled like smoke. To be honest, we left after 1 night because I had a cough and wanted to rule out COVID. I was negative. But the condition of the house was another excuse to go back home. I think it’s a great location and it’s nice, but not amazing as we were led to believe. Also, be aware that there is a person living above the detached garage that overlooks the pool. This will probably not bother most people, but it should be transparent.
