Welcome to our family home! This is our primary residence—not a full-time rental—so you’ll notice personal touches like family photos in the hallway and framed children’s artwork. We’re teachers who love spending summers traveling with our kids, and we’re happy to share our home with guests while we’re away.
Our house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in a friendly residential neighborhood with sidewalks, parks, and plenty of space to explore. We’re within walking distance of three parks and a disc golf course, and just 2 miles from Haskell’s Beach. Devereux Beach, Goleta Beach, a large shopping center (with Costco, Albertsons, theaters, restaurants, breweries), and UCSB are all nearby. Downtown Santa Barbara is just a 15–20 minute drive, the airport is about 5 miles away, and the Amtrak station is approximately 4 miles away.
The home offers a 1,600 sq. ft. floor plan plus a connected garage. As a family with two children, we’ve created a comfortable, kid-friendly space. There are four bedrooms: one with a king bed, one with a queen, and two with double beds. The layout includes both a living room and a separate family room (with a desk, piano, and decorative fireplace for ambiance), as well as a dining area and fully equipped kitchen. We recently completed a mini kitchen remodel and installed beautiful wooden countertops, which require a little extra care—we truly appreciate your mindfulness in helping us keep them looking their best.
The backyard is one of our favorite parts of the home, and we hope it becomes yours too. It features a spacious patio with a large table and plenty of seating, a pergola for shade, a generous grass area, fire pit, BBQ, and hot tub. There are also plenty of fun extras—ping pong table, cornhole, a disc golf basket, and a trampoline (use at your own risk).
In the attached garage, you’ll find a washer and dryer available for stays of five nights or longer. There’s also a couch and TV—perfect for kids to have their own space. We typically leave boogie boards and foam surfboards available as well; please check with us prior to your stay if you’d like to use them. We’re fortunate to have over 15 fruit trees on the property—if fruit is ripe during your visit, you’re welcome to enjoy it!
We love our home and neighborhood, and we hope you’ll feel right at home here too.
