This cottage was set up beautifully for lake activities, both winter and summer. Ideal for ice fisherman and snowmobilers in winter, (we saw 100s during our stay!), and any good old fashioned lake fun in summer. Our family of 6 (including 4 teenagers ages 13-19), booked very last minute for a long ski weekend at Jay Peak. It was a 20 minute drive to the mountain, with lots of places to eat & quaint shops/large stores in the vicinity. The cottage has plenty of sleeping space, and very comfortable mattresses. This is a no frills comfortable cottage.
The downstairs living space/bedroom/bathroom were very cold, with no way to heat the space. The home is not set up for a group of folks with alpine ski gear, that was a bit of a struggle, as ski boots, wet ski clothing, helmets etc. for 6 people were difficult to manage in the entry way space. Accommodations were adequate, and easy to keep clean. Washer and dryer were very handy. WiFi was spotty and unreliable periodically, so have a backup plan in the event you require consistent WiFi for work/school. The owner was wonderfully responsive, and very helpful answering questions during our stay. For winter activities on or at the lake, this is an ideal location. Beautiful quiet spot!
