Quiet and Safe Location; Great for Dogs
I stayed at The Landings for work and appreciated that they allow dogs with no weight limit. Be aware: they do require a photo and vaccination records for your dog, which weren’t mentioned in the VRBO listing—have these ready.The unit was generally clean. There were some spider webs in corners and bugs here and there, and the balcony hadn’t been swept in a while. There was a mildew-like smell in the bathroom, but it didn’t bother me. Overall, it felt tidy and livable.You’ll get access to an app for maintenance requests—very useful, though I didn’t realize this until the end of my stay. I purchased pest spray for spiders and later realized that I could have contacted someone from their app to spray for spiders. (Note: It's a wooded area -- spiders are to be expected.)Entry is through the Latch app, so a smartphone is required. The door doesn't latch closed. You must always lock it just to close the door. Always be sure to have your phone with you so you don't get locked out. Positives: the area is pet-friendly, with clean walking paths, wooded trails, and a dog park. Downsides: Most neighbors don’t clean up after their dogs. The staff is friendly and caring. Trash concierge is provided if needed. Unit was stocked with necessities; coffee; water; snacks.Overall, a solid, pet-friendly option if you're prepared with the required pet records and have a smartphone for Latch. I might consider staying again.
