Inside, a queen bed, skylit bathroom with walk-in shower, electric fireplace, and a fully equipped granite kitchen give you everything you need. The second bedroom with bunk bed means the kids (or your friends) are sorted. Outside, the deck, gas BBQ, and fire pit make evenings on the river genuinely hard to leave.

Tranquil cottage right on the water and close to town!

We really enjoyed the cottage and its many amenities. We really loved the hot tub and loved the view, girl, and fire pit area. The cottage is very well decorated and quaint. The live-edge countertop on the island is super cool. We loved it!

We planned a quick weekend trip to the 1000 Islands and found the Watermark Cottages on VRBO. The cottages were a bit hard to find. The GPS with the given address led us in the opposite direction. Putting in Watermark Cottages into the GPS got us to the area, but the only signage was a tiny sign after you’ve already pulled into the driveway. Parking was extremely tight, which made unloading the cars difficult. The cottage itself was very clean, tiny and organized. It is advertised as a 2BR/2BA. There is only one bathroom in the cottage. There is a shower head outside, but I do not consider that a bathroom. I had written to the owner prior to our visit with questions concerning items in the cottage, local restaurants, etc. I never received an answer and there was no folder or book in the cottage with local information. The bedrooms are extremely small and even the common area was very tight for four adults. The cottage was decorated nicely and was exceptionally clean, which was nice. But it was extremely overpriced and then the owner added additional charges for any type of early arrival, late check out, using the dock or canoes/kayaks, etc. We felt rather price gouged, especially with only one bathroom for four adults.

Thank you for your feedback and for your kind comments about the cleanliness and décor of the cottage. Most importantly, you are absolutely correct regarding the bathroom listing. Following a recent software connection change with VRBO, the cottage was incorrectly displayed as having two bathrooms when it has one. We sincerely apologize, as we understand this would have affected your expectations when booking for four adults. The listing has been corrected, and we are reviewing our other third-party listings. We appreciate your comments regarding directions and signage. We are awaiting permission for improved roadside signage and will also review our arrival directions. Regarding communication, our records show that six pre-arrival/arrival emails and two text messages were successfully sent, including directions, arrival information and door-code instructions. We regret that you did not receive or see the information you needed. We understand your comments regarding size. We provide extensive photos of the bedrooms, living areas and layout so guests can assess the space before booking, but will review whether we can make this even clearer. Finally, dock, canoe and kayak use is complimentary. Early check-in and late checkout are entirely optional services offered when available; a fee applies only if requested and is never automatically added. We appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to clarify these points.
