When exiting and unlocking the front door from the outside, please pull the door and then lock. Please double check to make sure it's locked.

Ample on street parking - a smooth self check in - a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom in a quiet and safe walkable neighborhood. I did not know NYC could be so user friendly!

The bathroom was cold during my stay, no heat. There was no parking available in front of the house as the host mentioned, he didn’t shovel the snow so I parked two blocks away and I was chased out of the space I parked by a resident. The room could use thicker curtains for privacy. Linens and pillow cases were unclean. Other than that it was quiet area.

Thank you for your feedback. I take guest experiences seriously and want to address a few of the points you raised. I have been hosting this property for about a year and this is the first time I have received a complaint regarding unclean linens. Cleanliness is very important to me, and if this had been brought to my attention during your stay, I would have immediately replaced the linens. Regarding the heat in the bathroom, I was not informed of any issue during your stay. Had I been notified, I would have promptly addressed it to ensure you were comfortable. Parking was unfortunately impacted by the severe blizzard that brought nearly three feet of snow to the area. Because of the storm, street parking was temporarily limited. I did offer you an alternate parking option, which was not utilized. As soon as conditions improved, I shoveled the snow in front of the property and let you know the space was available, which you were able to use afterward. I appreciate the note about the curtains and will certainly look into improving them for additional privacy. My goal is always to provide a comfortable stay for guests, and I encourage guests to reach out during their visit so I can quickly resolve any concerns.

This stay was private and comfortable. Checking in was easy with an electronic lock and the host was very communicative with my questions. 2 things to note are that the walls are thin between this unit and the main house so you can indistinctly hear each other, and the mattress is quite hard, but I know some people prefer that. The bathroom is modern and clean and overall everything was easy.

Great stay, only a few stains found by the bed nearest to the window. Communication with the host was fast. Would definitely book again for a quick stay around the area.

Clean space, prime location, safe area, and comfy bed and bathroom. 9.5/10. The 1/2 star off is only because of the AC - it randomly makes weird and loud noises which woke us up and scared us quite a bit.

Thank you for the review. I suspect the AC making noises is it reaching the desired room temperature and then shutting down before starting again to maintain the room temperature.

Relaxing overnight

Very nice, clean, comfortable. Suggest tissues in room, hair dryer. Host responsive to communications & accommodating. Private bathroom outside room in hallway did not prove to be a problem for us but might be for some. Overall a very good experience. Would recommend

The positive: The room was clean, modern, and nice.The negative: The welcome message we received did not include the passcode so we could not get in. We tried repeatedly messaging and calling the host with no response. We messaged VRBO and they tried to contact the host. No response. We called VRBO and they tried again to contact the host. No response. We asked VRBO to check messages sent to us for the passcode, and there was nothing. But when VRBO looked at previous bookings, they were able to figure out what passcode we should use. The host finally responded to our messages some 10 hours after we arrived. More negatives: The host does not provide some basic amenities typically provided at any hotel room, including hair dryer, coffee maker, tissues, and cups to use to take pills or brush your teeth. To be fair, these are not on the list of provided amenities. It does provide two amenities not usually found - a wall clock (which wasn't working) and a cordless cell phone charger (which did not charge my phone).More negatives: If you like a hot shower, you will be sorely disappointed. The best it gets is warm. If you need the room to be dark to sleep, you will be disappointed. The curtains do little to block the light. If you like a soft bed, you will be disappointed. If you are sensitive to noise, you will be disappointed. On Friday, I was woken at 6am by the sound of the shower in the main house. On the weekend we could hear the conversations of people in the main house.

I do want to clarify a few points regarding your stay: You checked in at 11:39 PM, which is quite late in the evening. The access code was already provided in your VRBO app and confirmation details at the time of booking — VRBO has access to the same code that guests receive automatically. Unfortunately, when messages are reviewed only at check-in time, it can create unnecessary delays. I’m sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while VRBO assisted in helping you access the property. Regarding amenities, the listing clearly specifies what is and isn’t included, and items such as a coffee maker, hair dryer, and tissues were not listed as available. I strive to ensure the description is transparent so guests know exactly what to expect before booking. Please also note that this accommodation is a shared-space setup, as stated on the listing. While every effort is made to maintain a peaceful environment, some level of household noise can be expected given the shared nature of the property. As for the shower temperature, the water heater settings are standard for safety and consistent use, and no prior guests have reported issues. The wall clock and wireless charger will be checked to ensure they are working properly — thank you for bringing that to my attention.
