「世紀の変わり目に、私たちの祖父母はスカンジナビアから移住し、Keweenaw半島に定住しました。自分たちのために新しい生活を築くだけでなく、文字通り多くの教会、学校、店、そして家を建てました。 もちろん、スペリオル湖で泳ぐこと、指ぬきの実を拾うこと、獲れたての魚を焼くこと、この魔法のような場所でクマや野生生物を観察することなど、多くの子供時代の思い出があります。

Great cabin. Well stocked with everything we needed. The washer/dryer attached to the cabin for the cleaners was being used during our stay and it was obnoxiously loud. Sounded like uneven loads in the washing machine. Thankfully we were hiking during the day. The location next to the lighthouse was wonderful.

It was a very cute quaint vintage cabin. Parking is an issue. It was very easy to find. It does not have air conditioning, which was not an issue for us. It comes with many fans to put around the room. It is a small space and has a lot of items in the small space which makes it feel even smaller unfortunately, it was not as clean as what we have been used to. Bathroom was extremely small and shower is extremely tight for a 5’10” 175 lb man.

Yes, you are correct — these are small, vintage cabins with space for only one parked car, and they are priced accordingly. I’m sorry to hear the cottage wasn’t cleaned to your expectations. If you had reached out during your stay, we would have been happy to send someone over right away to re-clean it for you. For the future, Eagle Harbor — Harbor View (the cottage closer to the Lake Superior views) is a bit larger and offers a separate bedroom along with a full kitchen, rather than just the coffee pot, microwave, and mini-fridge setup. I’m disappointed this stay wasn’t the right fit for you. You were wonderful guests, and you are always welcome to call our office before booking. Great little getaway

This little cabin is awesome. Small and cozy. Eagle Harbor is a very quiet town. Easy drive to various places on the peninsula. Would definitely stay again.

Quaint, quiet respite steps from lighthouse complex

Enjoyed my stay. Comfy mattress, quaint...great location (close to lighthouse complex). Very quiet at night. Shampoo and soap would have been a nice touch.

Great Place to Stay

These cute and cozy little cabins were the prefect place to stay and a wonderful hub for adventures in the Keweenaw. The owners were so nice and made it easy to get ahold of them if there was any questions or concerns. The property had a lot to offer and is in such a great location. Eagle Harbor is such a wonderful little town.

First time in northern Michigan

This is a sweet little cabin that worked for us for 2 nights. The location was really great for us as we loved being close to the lighthouse and Lake Superior. We really enjoyed the small town feel and peacefulness of this area and it had some beautiful drives close by and some great hiking by Copper Harbor.

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay. Only issue we had is that there was no place to sit inside or right outside the cabin to relax. Suggest replacing King bed with queen to allow for a couple of chairs.

UP thereapy

The cabin was very clean. Very nice area, especially if you want a good away from the hustle and bustle and just relax. Beautiful location not too far from copper harbor. The parking was a little tight, but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic place to unwind and recharge!

Loved the location. Loved the little Cabin. Truly felt like home. We thought a more private beach area was available... And a private grill or place to grill. But it is what it is. The lighthouse location was beyond beautiful. The area was spectacular.

Beautiful oasis

Loved it so much. Small and wonderful. Loved its proximity to the lake and the lighthouse. Worked wonderfully for us. It was clean, safe, quiet, remote tho we were able to find Vegan treats at the Genny and in Houghton. And, weirdly, tho I'm fairly meticulous the cleaner noticed I'd left one of my favorite blankets behind and returned it to me (for a fee) which was kind.

Sweet little town

Good vacation home, RIGHT by the water/lighthouse, friendly owners, had a great time! Only thing id say is clean out spider webs behind the door, looked like theyd been there for a while. and wipe baseboards behind the bed every so often 😊

Bed confusion

Property was clean, great location, but only issue was two twin beds were sheeted together as a king so not what we were expecting

Kay, we are glad that you enjoyed Harbor Pines.  This is  a sweet 1 room, 1 bath in Eagle Harbor.  We are sorry for the bed confusion.  It has only a king bed.  We do hope to work with you again.

Beautiful Lake Cabin

This cabin was adorable! The bed was very comfortable and the location breathtaking! There were 2 problems we had. 1.The instructions in the room didn't give us any wifi sign on info and there is no land line to call anyone. We needed to check on our folks back home. So we drove a half hour to where we had cell signal to call home and the management for wifi info. The info they gave didn't work, but the friendly neighbor gave it to us the following morning. 2.The ad said there was a grill and we never found one. The friendly neighbor said we could use his, but by then it was too late.

Paul, Eagle Harbor- Harbor Pines is such a sweet little cabin. The light house, Lake Superior and all those fabulous pine trees makes this a great property. We apologize for the internet issues, and we are checking into why the grill was not there. Again, please accept our apologies. We do hope that you will work with us again in the future.

Nicely Furnished Cabin for Two

We found the cabin to be nicely furnished and in a great location. There was additional linen, blankets and towels available also. There was an electric heater available that we used as it was rather cool while we were there. Information was provided regarding the area as well as things to do. There was more than enough coffee supplied for our stay. I didn’t think the cabin was very clean. There were dead flies on the several window seal, and there was a lot of dust on the bed frame as well as some of the other furniture. I tried to clean the cabin as much as I could but there was no way to clean behind the bed headboard. Therefore I rated the cabin in need of a deep cleaning. Ar first I didn’t know that a washer and dryer was being used in a locked room outside our living area. It was a little unnerving at first to hear someone on our cabin. We went outside the next day when we heard a dryer going. The exhaust for the dryer was completely clogged with lint and hair. I was really afraid the whole cabin may burn down. I have a picture of the vent if you would like to see it. I would have given a much higher rating if the cabin had been clean.

I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience, overall. Harbor Pines is a part of a former resort. The washer/dryer is attached to the back end of this cabin. I'm sorry it was a nuisance. If one of the other cabins departs and the cleaner is washing the linens, at times you can hear the dryer reverberate through the wall. We are working on a solution with the property owners, since the washer/dryer is not advertised for guest use. I appreciate you being conscientious and concerned for the safety of the property and our future guests. Our maintenance team is contacting you for a picture of the vent. Since this is the first we have heard about the clogged vent, it will be addressed immediately. I also appreciate your feedback about the needed deep clean. Our property owners did this Spring Clean and we will address it with them, on top of having our cleaner pay more attention to the dusting and removal of bugs which fall into the windowsills.
