Dockside Cabin - Red River Gorge

Dockside is a rental cabin located in the Natural Bridge / Red River Gorge area of Eastern Kentucky Mountains, just one hour from Lexington, Kentucky. This beautiful log cabin is located in a secluded, private area of Cliffview Resorts with access to Red River Gorge. It is surrounded by trees and sits on a 25 ft. deep 1.5 acre spring fed lake that has clear water and is stock with fish. The lake has a floating dock for swimming & sunning and provides very good fishing. There is a 1.5 hour hiking trail just down the road. This rental cabin is excellent for family vacations or a private getaway with your special partner.

Cutest cabin!

We had an overnight stay which was wonderful! Somewhat hard to find in the dark, but the host quickly called me to walk me through finding the cabin. Wish we would have stayed longer! Beautiful place!!

Great place to unwind and relax

Had a wonderful 3 night stay! Communication with the owner was perfect. My husband and I enjoyed the on-site fishing and the place was furnished with anything we may have needed. I reached out to Rebecca a couple times with questions and she responded immediately. So close to the underground kayaking!! Which was a lot of fun! If you need to choose anywhere for a great dinner (Thurs-Sunday) definitely try Redpoint BBQ. Delicious!! Thank you Rebecca for a great stay. We had a wonderful time!

Cabin on the Lake

We loved Dockside! The perfect cabin that sits right on a little lake. My teenage boys loved fishing and paddling around in the kayak and canoe that was there! The porch was lovely and though it rained the entire time we were there, we made the most of it playing Yahtzee and watching movies. Our host, Rebecca, was great!! She called me when I was struggling with the door code and walked me through it. She also let me know the cabin was available for another day if we wanted it and discounted that day for us. I can definitely see us coming back to Dockside!!

Incredible stay

Beautiful house.

Everything was just as the pictures showed. Would have liked it to be on the beach, but it was close. Many eating places around and lots to do. Would do it again!

Perfect Location

great spring break stay

Beautiful property. Well equipped, wonderfully decorated, nice TVs in each room, comfy beds, lots of room for the family to spread out. Loved the pool for the houses in the area. Suggest higher quality towels and sheets for the price and quality of the property.

Wonderful, beautiful & clean!

Wonderful spot. Great little restaurants within walking distance. Only negative was that it's across the street from the beach, but the spaciousness of this place was AMAZING! And so clean and well decorated.

Convenient, beautiful home

This was our second time staying at Blessing on the Bay and we loved it. It's a beautiful, comfortable home convenient to grocery stores and the beach. Our crew took a fishing charter one day from Zeke's which is a 2 minute walk. Also, after we checked out, my young grandson was distraught that he'd left a toy and Polly was so kind to let me back in twice to look for it! Above and beyond kindness.

Nice property

We were in town for a cheer competition at the Wharf Amphitheater. The driving distance was not too far. The house is conveniently located within walking distance to an ice cream/candy shop and restaurants. Walking across the street to the beach was a little tricky, but the kids enjoyed the pool. The house was very clean and nice! We enjoyed our stay!

This house was absolutely perfect! Everything we needed it was available.

Staying here was perfect for us. It was close enough to the ocean and the bay to enjoy both sides. Businesses and shops were close enough we could walk to them. The donut / ice cream shop (Donut City) on the corner was definitely worth visiting! We will be using this company every time we come.

Spring break

This vacation home was amazing !!!! The entire family enjoyed their stay. The home was very modern and clean and equipped with everything to enjoy your stay. From the entrance to the big patio’s and space rooms size to the yard space everything as great. I will definitely return for the summer 😀

Best beach house everrrr

We recently stayed in this amazing beautiful rental, we travel a lot it was our first time visiting Orange Beach and we loved it. This rental is so clean, fully equipped, and the location is perfect so close to everything the beach it’s only a few steps away. We would rent this unit again no questions asked. If you’re considering staying here do not hesitate this is the place you want to stay at. Should I even mention it has a pool and a perfect grilling area can’t wait to go back and stay there again.

Beautiful home.

Wonderful home. Beautifully decorated. Convenient to all Orange Beach has to offer. Only recommendations: Keurig coffee maker WiFi connectivity is very weak. Otherwise all was fantastic. Look forward to renting again in the future.

Beautiful

This house was so beautiful, comfy beds, great location, everything you needed to cook with and even beach chairs. However if you have younger kids I don’t suggest walking to the beach as it is a good stretch and if you have toddlers I would suggest at least two baby gates for the stairs. Overall would definitely stay here again, the property manager was super nice and easy to deal with and the place was spotless

Perfect

Our family from 65 year old grandparents to 4 year old twins enjoyed an extended weekend stay. We went deep sea fishing from Zekes right next door and could walk. Put our ski boat in the water and the dock was only 50 yards away. The home is beautiful, well stocked kitchen, great gas stove, perfect for big meals with the whole family of 12 sitting around a single table. Highly recommend this property for all families!

Amazing Stay

Very clean, everything new, felt like home. If you live in an upscale community and living an abundant lifestyle, this rental definitely gives you that same feel. Close to the Beach and the lake. Its literally right in between them both. It also has a swimming pool in the backyard, so there were many options for entertainment. We had an amazing time barbecuing on the grill and spending quality family time at this location. We will definitely visit again in the near future. Oh and its only 5 minutes from the Florida state line.

Hot water master bedroom

The hot water in the shower of the master bedroom was very finicky we couldn’t get it to stay one temp. But this was the only shower that did this. Other than that we had a fabulous stay

Great weekend

Each year I take my top employees on a fishing trip. We chose this house because of it’s proximity to Zeke’s. It is directly adjacent to Zeke’s. I’m glad we picked this house. The house was clean. It was roomy enough for everyone to have privacy. The house had everything we needed. The location was close to grocery stores and restaurants that we wanted to go to. One of the guys left his keys and the owner said she will look for them and put them in the mail. I really appreciate that. The check in process was easy. The pictures are exactly what the house looks like. We will be back.

Nice house, manager So Sucks!

Family time was the goal, we had that. But, the manager & friend accused me of being a criminal or committing fraud. They messed up one digit of my phone number on lease agreement, which I did not catch. But, every email I received had my correct phone number. This mistake turned into a very confusing, upsetting and unprofessional event outside of the house that was already paid for the week. Owner called and apologized immediately, manager did not feel the need to apologize to me or my family. This ‘duo’ needs re-training. A real shame! We looked at renting more expensive property, but already had a huge family trip earlier this year. We will stay at a different property in OB next time. We visit Orange Beach twice a year. Renters beware of this mgmt team.

Dockside is a real log cabin. It is located close to the Natural Bridge State Park and Red River Gorge. The first floor has a great room with a gas fireplace, open dining area, fully equipped kitchen, a queen size bedroom and full bath with a double size jacuzzi tub. Upstairs is another queen size bedroom, a loft with two single beds and a full bath.

It is situated on a 2 acre, 25' deep, that is spring fed lake that is full of fish. There is a floating dock for sunning and swimming. A 10' X 25' covered porch overlooks the lake. There is a kayak and a canoe on site for your use.

The cabin has very nice furnishings and artwork. There are Quality towels and bed coverings and linens. If you are looking for an upscale cabin in a secluded location, the Hill Billy Cabin is for you.

The cabin is minutes from Red River Gorge Ziplining and only a 10 minute drive to the Gorge Underground Cave Kayaking and Boat Tours!
