The host, Chip, was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin is so pretty and was decorated beautifully for the holidays. We loved the hot tub - it was so relaxing! But the best part of the cabin are the views! The mountain views are stunning! We are very happy with our stay and we highly recommend this cabin!

Our stay was the perfect girl's getaway. The location is peaceful, and the cabin is perfect! All amenities...absolutely anything you could need, was in the cabin!
There was a small bear right off the porch, climbing a tree.
Sunsets are divine from this porch!

Perfect place with the BEST view - exactly like pictures. We were nervous about the drive, but we were able to make it in our Honda Pilot. The house was clean, and it had plenty of towels and things we could need. We loved our stay, and we can’t wait to come back.

It was very well kept , and equipped to have a comfortable stay whether you’re coming to adventure or just hang out in a cabin with a scenic view . Chip was a very responsive and communicative host on helping us get to the cabin as well

Fantastic stay. The place is brand new and easy to get to. The hosts were great with communication and even helped us out when my truck wouldn’t start on our last day. Can’t recommend enough.

The views for the cabin are exceptional. The cabin was so cute and cozy. I do recommend driving a truck or 4x4 as the dirt road leading up to the cabin can get steep and rough. But overall the cabin was great and communication with the owners was great. They were very responsive.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cute, cozy cabin in the Ellijay mountains! The cabin was spotless and had such a warm, inviting feel — the perfect place to relax and unwind. The host, Chip, was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. When we had an issue with the hot tub before our stay, he personally came out to fix it and even gave us a tour of his beautiful property next door!It’s about a 30-minute drive to groceries and other stores, but that added to the peaceful, secluded charm — exactly what we wanted for our anniversary getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and can’t wait to come back!

Cozy, quiet and amazing views. Super clean. Didn’t use hot tub or fireplace but appeared as it should with plenty of wood. Cooked several times and had everything needed. Owners were great and made sure we had everything needed. Very responsive through the whole process. If you have a choice between car or truck- bring your truck. Will be back next fall.

This was one of the best experiences that we have had in our lives. The view was breathtaking and the serenity was next to none. We will be back in the near future. This may be our private getaway for every August. We just fell in the and the owners kept in touch throughout the process which made everything exceptional .

We had a wonderful stay at Sunset Peak. Chip & Carmie were fantastic hosts, they were very communicative, gave great recommendations, and made our stay super easy! We enjoyed relaxing on the back porch while enjoying the views, we indulged in the hot tub every night, and loved exploring the surrounding areas. We were excited for downtown Blue Ridge but highly preferred downtown Ellijay! It was a great town with many cute places to eat and drink. Our favorite winery was Roo Mountain! My boyfriend (now fiancé!) proposed on the back porch at sunset and it was so romantic and definitely unforgettable! We will definitely be back. Thank you, Chip & Carmie, for a lovely stay!

Wow! The pics don’t even begin to describe how peaceful and stunning the views are! It was a wonderful stay. We had amazing weather, amazing sunsets and full moon stargazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunset Peak! The hot tub during the sunsets was perfect. The balcony/deck was the perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee and dinners al fresco. The bedrooms are outfitted with room-darkening shades which were immensely appreciated. The communications between the host were so attentive and quick to respond. Don’t pass on this cabin! Side note: if you forget your book, they have a great cache of must-reads! Thanks, Chip and Carmie!

Atlanta Getaway with Pup.

We were looking for a place to get away from Atlanta and relax in each other’s company. This place fit the bill and was wonderful. Very clean and well taken care of, big kitchen for cooking together and hanging out, massive porch to enjoy the mountain view’s from, and private hot tub to relax in and catch the beautiful sunsets. The host was extremely helpful and communicative. Couldn’t ask for more! Will definitely go back!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin! The views were phenomanal—just sitting out on deck overlooking the mountains was a highlight of our trip. This cabin is certainly way up on the mountain. You can see beautiful sunsets for the balcony. The views from the hot tub are also spectacular! This cabin is very rustic which we loved! Carmie and Chip did an amazing job with the decor in this cabin. The cabin was stocked with all of the essentials that you can think of. They even had body wash and shampoo in the shower. That definitely came in handy as we forgot to pack bar soap. We enjoyed staying at Sunset Peak!

Great house and hosts

Hosts were incredibly responsive and friendly with great recommendations. The property is spectacular if you’re looking for peaceful and serene, this is it. Clean and well maintained home with well thought out staples in the kitchen. Tons of cute towns nearby and lots of things to do if you’re interested in hiking and outdoor activities, the scenic byway, and beautiful sunsets. The drive up the mountain to the house is definitely steep and very dark at night 4 wheel drive is a must with that being said 100% worth the drive!

Peaceful mountain getaway

The cabin was pristine- all new and beautifully built. Very clean. The views outside on the deck were absolutely breathtaking. Very peaceful. I can't say enough wonderful things about the hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and even checked in on me during my stay. They were very responsive and the cabin was stocked with everything you could possibly need. I would not hesitate to book this trip!

In 2023, my husband and I built our first mountain home, a place we cherish and love to share with family and close friends. Captivated by the breathtaking mountaintop views and the serene atmosphere of Double Knob Mountain, we decided to build our 2nd home- (Sunset Peak) in 2024 offering others the chance to experience the same stunning views and peaceful surroundings in our Ellijay cabin rental.
