Charming casita in Historic Brewery Gulch walking distance to everything!
Welcome to the Historic Wills House-Agave Casita. Built starting in 1902 and nestled in a stone walled courtyard, this former brothel has both vintage charm and modern conveniences. Situated in upper Brewery Gulch, it is walking distance to Old Bisbee’s entertainment & shopping districts, while being just far enough to be tranquil at night. Enjoy cooking in our full kitchen and relaxing & birdwatching on the porch . We look forward to hosting you so come down, slow down, and stay with us awhile.
The Agave Casita has one bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. There’s a king size bed with Nectar Premium mattresses. It has a full kitchen equipped with cooking basics so you can prepare meals in house. The porch is a favorite spot to hang out, bird watch, or just enjoy the high desert air. There’s a record player and fireplace in the living room with an electric heater in it.
The stay was good. Bed was comfy, rest of furniture was a bit uncomfortable. Very clean and able to walk the town.

Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, my wife and I have settled in Bisbee after spending 20 years in Texas where we owned and operated a James Beard nominated Mexican spirits bar and restaurant. While we no longer wanted to be in food and beverage, we love hospitality and creating unique spaces to share with others. I was raised in the antiques business and my wife is an artist. Both her work and pieces from my collection can be found in the unit.

We love the upper Brewery Gulch neighborhood for its history as the red light district of Bisbee, architecture and close proximity to food, nightlife and shopping while being just far enough to be quiet and tranquil. We also love the natural surroundings and hiking trails close by.

Our property is a former brothel and one of the few brick homes in the neighborhood. It is architecturally distinct and features a stone walled courtyard that has a petrified wood and rock garden, fountain and native and other plants to attract birds, butterflies and pollinators. It is also alleged to be haunted though they don’t bother anyone. We have been featured in several books and magazines including Bisbee’s Pioneer Homes, Haunted Bisbee, and recently Arizona Highways. We are on several tours including architecture, history and haunted tours.
