Perfect for gatherings or getaways, this large modern log cabin is nestled between two gorgeous nature preserves, one mile from the Airplane Rock and Chapel Cave parking & trailhead, less than two miles from Hocking State Forest: Rock Climbing & Rappelling, two miles from Conkles Hollow, and a short drive to Old Mans Cave and other State Park/Hocking Hills natural attractions.

Relax and unwind in this luxurious cabin (sleeps up to 12 guests) featuring large kitchen and dining areas, gas fireplace, an oversized front porch, Free WiFi, game area, jacuzzi tub, and outdoor gathering and grilling space.
Tucked within Hocking Hills’ enchanting woodlands, The Preserve Cabin beckons for gatherings or tranquil escapes. Surrounded by two ODNR Nature Preserves, this modern log cabin blends luxury with woodland serenity.

Unwind by the gas fireplace, soak in the jet whirlpool tub, or gather on the oversized front porch. Savor campfire evenings under starlit skies or challenge friends in the game area with pool, foosball, and air hockey. Steps from the Buckeye Trail, one mile from Airplane Rock and Chapel Cave, and near Old Man’s Cave and Conkles Hollow, it’s a haven for adventure and cherished memories. Free WiFi included.

The location was nice! The cabin was very clean and well taken cared of. The only down side was the beds were a little outdated and mattresses on the firmer side.

The cabin was a blast, spent some time down by the fire enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and the amenities at the cabin like pool, then we went fishing it was just a overall good time would love to do it again.

We had a wonderful time at the Perserve!

This was our 3rd stay in the Perserve. We love the location of the cabin - beautiful scenery and so close to the trail heads. Gary and Karen have done a wonderful job decorating and furnishing the cabin. We hope to visit again soon!

Gary’s passion for Hocking Hills began with childhood camping and hunting trips alongside his grandfather. In 1998, his dream took root when he purchased the cherished 10-acre parcel they explored together. By 2006, Gary and Karen poured their hearts into building the Preserve Cabin, completed in 2008, and named their business Creek's Crossing Cabins, LLC due to the creek that ran through their property. In 1996, Gary’s family acquired 72 acres and a cabin in southwest Hocking County as a family retreat. Renovated in 2011, it became the secluded Cabin at Elkins Pass, the second cabin rental. A pole barn, originally built to store logs for The Preserve Cabin, was transformed into living quarters for Gary and Karen in 2011. By 2013, it debuted as the Creekside Cabin, their third rental. Gary and Karen’s deep love for Hocking Hills shines through in the meticulous care of their cabins and warm hospitality, creating unforgettable getaways. Preserve & Creekside guests: State Nature Preserves are adjacent to those properties and can be explored by applying for free permits from ODNR on their website.
