We enjoyed several aspects of our stay. The view was beautiful, the location was peaceful, and the hot tub was a nice bonus—especially in the winter. There’s also a small, lesser-known trail just below the house that truly made the weekend for us and added a lot of value to the experience, especially since we arrived with our dogs. The home was clean upon arrival, and we appreciated the holiday décor that was left up for New Year’s—it was a thoughtful touch. That said, for the price point, there were a few areas where the experience fell short. Some kitchen items were worn (cookie sheets were scratched and rusty, many dishes were chipped), and the kitchen itself felt disorganized. The coffee station was set up but didn’t include any coffee pods, which felt like a small missed opportunity for hospitality. We also had trouble with the TV and remotes, which took time to troubleshoot during our stay.Overall, the property has a lot of potential and a lovely setting, but for the cost, we expected a bit more attention to detail and upkeep compared to other nearby options.
