Best view of the lake of any of the adjacent properties. Great location for staying in, being active at the state park, or shopping and eating out. The space was clean and the amenities well thought out.

This was a great place to stay while we enjoyed Sauder Village nearby. We were comfortably rested. We were sad that the rain kept us from taking advantage of the fire pit. If we make it back in the area, we would stay again.

Great little spot! The lake is right across the street and the state park beach and picnic area is less than 5 minutes away. Very quiet street with nice neighbors. My son and I had a perfect weekend here.

Very quiet setting. This is a true retreat location. I would definitely like to come back. The house is well stocked with the basics for preparing your own meals. Harrison State Park is right outside your doorstep. We saw lots of fish, blue heron, cormorant, and a bald eagle.

We will definitely be coming back! The views, cleanliness, and proximity to the state park would be hard to beat. I especially loved how you can watch the sunset over the farmland on one side, while there’s the beautiful lake on the other.

The cottage was amazing. It was cozy and the lake view with the trail was beautiful. Not having a television or wifi helped us to disconnect from the busyness of our everyday lives and reconnect with nature and each other. We would definitely love to come back and enjoy another stay.

We had a great stay at Helen’s cottage! It was the perfect place for our wedding anniversary getaway. The cabin was pristine and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Being so close to Harrison State Park was a huge plus. We’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Pros: We loved staying here so much that we wish it was our cottage. It's nice and quiet and very cozy. We enjoyed morning coffee with a little campfire. And sunset campfire. The bed is very comfortable, we slept so wonderfully! I bet the lack of wifi and TV helped a lot. There is a radio. We can see why Helen loved this place. We enjoyed the park, e-biking, and people are friendly. Cons: The fry pans could use a replacement but they work okay. Toilet is very low flow. Housekeeping should mop the floors and clean the windows. We did end up cleaning windows and some cutlery and glasses needed a wash. But that is the cleaning crew, not on the owners or the overall review of the cottage.We look forward to staying again and will look here first as a couple that didn't need much space to stay. Thank you!!

We are woodlarkers, wildife watchers, and whimsical wanderers, who are always looking for "off the beaten path". This little cottage was exactly that. Like some sweet little hidden gem, a local secret. Easy access to the park amenities and trailheads. Great little base camp to come back to after a day of adventuring and memory making.
