Blue Moon Mountain Home is perfect for 2 families or for a group of friends. When you step inside you will quickly understand why this quickly became our favorite getaway.

THE SPACE

Imagine driving down the Sugarbush Access Road with approaching views of Sugarbush’s Lincoln peak becoming closer and closer. Less than one mile from the base lodge, you turn off onto a private drive to find Blue Moon. After parking on the spacious flat driveway (room for 6 cars) or in the two car garage, you finally welcome yourself to vacation.

A keyless entry makes it easy to walk in and drop your bags in the large mudroom. It’s a perfect room for storage and a place to change into your gear for fun days ahead. Immediately outside the front door you will find a shed to store your larger gear such as bikes, skis and boards.

Adjacent to the mudroom is an awesome TV and game area with comfortable seating to relax and watch a movie or to play a board game. You could also choose to challenge your friends/family in a game of shuffleboard or the iconic Ms. Pac-Man! All four TVs in Blue Moon are equipped with Apple TVs to log on and stream your favorite shows.

After your movie is done and you’ve conquered the games, take the stairs from the mudroom up to the fully-equipped kitchen. Share a meal at the kitchen table that seats 8, or enjoy a casual breakfast at the kitchen island with seating for 5.

Down the hall from the kitchen you will find 2 bedrooms: one king (TV) with en-suite full bathroom, and the second a queen. Next to the queen bedroom is an additional bathroom with a standup shower and a conveniently placed washer and dryer to make sure your gear is ready to go.

The living room is where the beauty of this house shines! Enjoy taking in views of Sugarbush through large windows showcasing the Heaven’s Gate quad, Sigi’s Ripcord and Organgrinder trails. The post and beam architecture of the cathedral ceiling is a sight in itself! Snuggle up on the oversized sofa or warm up by the gas fireplace in comfy chairs. This is a great location to wind down for the day and watch a movie, read a book or enjoy a glass of wine.

Behind the living room, step outside onto the generously-sized deck which again highlights trails of Sugarbush. This is an ideal place to watch the sunset behind the mountain or to hang out and enjoy fresh mountain air. The outside table and chairs is a nice spot for an al fresco dinner on those perfect summer nights.

Upstairs there are 3 more bedrooms. One king bedroom (TV), one queen bedroom and a bunk room with three sets of bunk beds. Two bunk beds are twin over twin and the third is a twin over full. This is a great room for the kids to all ‘bunk’ together! On this floor there is one full bathroom with a bathtub.

From this floor take the steps up to the loft. This is a fun place to read a book, play a board game or just enjoy overseeing the happenings below.

And if that is not enough, don’t forget to take time to sit and relax in the outdoor hot tub located off of the mudroom.

In case Vermont gets a little too warm in the summer months, the bedrooms are equipped with window air conditioners (from ~ June 1 - September 30) as there is no central air. During the cold months the house is warmed with ground and first floor radiant heat and second floor baseboard heat.
