Host doublebooked; people walked in on me
Host doublebooked the space, leaving another party to enter the place at 10:45pm when I was almost asleep. Luckily, we were all friendly and safe, but THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN! The host was able to redirect the other party to a different place, but didn’t even apologize at the end of the phone call during which we sorted this out. She just hung up. There was no offer to make things right, say, by offering a discount or other gesture. And I had to request that the door code be reset—the host didn’t think of doing that for me after another party had received the code, too—which waited over 11 hours and a second, prompting note to get a response. The place itself was great, but the service was very disappointing. This could have been a very dangerous situation!! (What if any of us who were so startled by each other’s unexpected presence had been armed? Or interested in sexual assault?) I would avoid renting from this host in the future. :(
