Jane and George are wonderful !They were fine with us checking in late at night. They were friendly, helpful, easy going and available for whatever we wanted. Guest house had everything we needed. It's in a great location, close to everything in Studio City and Sherman Oaks, where our son lives. Beautiful and safe neighborhood.

A great location and place to stay

We had a great time visiting our son and his fiancé- yesterday we spent the afternoon enjoying the property and pool! The guesthouse was very comfortable and had everything we needed - even though the host (Jane) was traveling, she was extremely responsive as well as her Housesitter (Misha). The location was excellent in Studio City right next to Sherman Oaks - shopping, restaurants and attractions were all close by. We were very happy!

Studio City Hideaway

We had a wonderful stay at this charming 800 sq ft guest house in Studio City. The location is perfect, just a few blocks from Ventura Blvd, yet it feels incredibly quiet and secluded. The backyard is a serene oasis, with a beautiful pool surrounded by lush plants, unique yard artwork, and even a neighboring fruiting avocado tree near the gate. The guest house itself is cozy and well-equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in a prime location!

Great Location with accomodating hosts

There are few VRBO options in this area. This home is in a very convenient location. The guest house is probably twice the size of a deluxe queen hotel room and is quite comfortable for two people. Our week-long, mid-June stay was pleasant but the weather was unusually cool. Too cool for the pool! The owners live on site and were very accomodating. We appreciated their letting us check in early and allowing us to use their laundry facilities.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay. Jane and George very helpful and because the unit was separate from the house and private. There is a nice pool too, but it was a little too chilly due to the season.

cute little place in a good location, great neighborhood. be nice if there was a door into the bedroom (looks like there used to be one, don't know why it would have been removed) - the bedroom is right off the livingroom so light and noise filters in. i am giving it 4 stars because the house was not as clean as it could have been, especially the bathroom and kitchen...

Studio City Guest House

This property was exactly as described. It was nicely located in a central LA neighborhood, easy access to hiking and downtown LA. Comfortable. Jane and her husband were available but not intrusive.

I love this place. Jane & George are wonderful hosts. Easy communicating. Prompt replies.

I stayed for a month in the winter so out of season for beautiful pool. The ambiance inside is friendly. Small area for food prep but beautiful large dining table for prep and company. Living room sofa likely fine for most people but I have back trouble so too soft for me. Many spots to sit outdoors in the back yard. Easy parking on the road. Large outdoor table in photo actually for host family use.

room for improvement

The mattress that was provided was in very poor shape. Due to the poor shape of the mattress I suffered severe back pain which has required medical care. We would recommend that this mattress be replaced. Another issue that we had were the unannounced guests utilizing the pool while we were there. The clutter surrounding the pool and outdoor area could very well have been taken care of prior to our arrival.

Coffee by the pool every morning!

What a beautiful place. Very quiet and peaceful and there is nothing like coffee by the pool then floating around for a while. George and Jane are wonderful hosts!

Perfect setting, perfect hosts!

Jane & George could not have been nicer and more accommodating hosts. Very welcoming and congenial, they gave us the run of the property - and what an amazingly beautiful property is is - and so convenient to all the areas we needed to go. The guest house was ideal and fulfilled all our needs. Thanks for a wonderful five days! Can't wait to visit the area and stay there again.

Great guest house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. George & Jane were wonderful hosts. The property was perfect size, furnished nicely and in a very nice neighbothood. We will book again...in the Summer when we can definitely enjoy the pool and beautiful yard.

Visiting our son

This cute guest house is fully furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed using the pool and surrounding area. The house is located near the entrance to Coldwater Canyon walking trail, which we enjoyed. Our hosts, George and Jane were very friendly and helpful.

Very nice stay at this location! Quiet. Out of the way, yet close to everything. I would stay here again. My son, who is a local, said, "Dad you did well with this pick".

Private and peaceful

This was our second stay with Jayne and George. This is a nice place to call home when traveling. It's on a lovely, quiet street. The owners are very accommodating. I rated 4 stars as it didn't seem to be as well kept as the last time we visited but all in all it's still a good value and better than sitting around in a hotel room.
