Excellent location near the beach with a very responsive, accommodating and kind host. Had a wonderful stay. Road noise was considerable and needed both white noise and ear plugs to sleep. A/C at night and comfortable beds made for a great sleep otherwise. Kitchen well stocked for our self catering stay. Very easy to get around as super close to the bus stop also. Did not know about the outside shower until after our stay, that would have been great to use after each beach trip!

Everything about my stay was 10. The host and property manager were most accommodating and helpful. The house itself is equipment with everything you may need for a very comfortable stay. The attention to small details was very much appreciated. The location is superb, directly across the street from one of the nicest beaches on the island, Thunder Bay. I would not hesitate to recommend Eva's cottage to anyone. Thank you for having me.

Small but conveniently located. Everything advertised was present and worked without issue. Heavy rains caused a problem with the shower drain and the landlord had a plumber deal with it within 20 mins of notifying them which was a crazy response time for a Saturday night.

Positives - This is a lovely property with one large bedroom with 2 king sized beds and 1 small with a double bed. The property is well equiped and in an excellent location. With the beach and beach bar just accross the road. The owner responded to us extremely quickly and sorted out any issues as fast as humanly possible. We lost the keys on the first day and had a replacement within 30 mins. Thunder bay is a very nice beach where food, drink and sunbeds are available. But you can get away from all that at the far side of the beach if you prefer a quieter beach visit. The property is located on highway 1A with is the coastal road, so getting around is very easy if you have a car. If not there are plenty of buses going up and down this road, which are very easy to use. There are restaurants and bars within walking distance. We also had a pleasant suprise of wild green monkeys visiting every day. They were fun to watch and very cute.Negatives - Because of the location road noise is loud as local drivers seem to like to test their horns on a regular basis and the buses all seem to have holes in their exhausts. This resulted in us staying in the back bedroom, but we soon got used to this noise. The property also does not have a full sized oven. But as we do most cooking on the hob it was not an issue. In summary we really enjoyed our stay here and we would go back if the property was available.Tips - if you have a car go to costuless to stock up.

It’s wonderful to know the layout, amenities, and nearby restaurants worked well for your stay. The daily visits from the green monkeys are always such a treat, and I’m happy you got to enjoy them. I really appreciate your kind words about our responsiveness. We always want guests to feel supported throughout their stay. Being right on the coastal road is fantastic for beach access and transportation, but it can come with a bit of extra activity at times. We are already taking steps to address this by upgrading the windows and exploring additional ways to reduce noise inside the cottage, so future stays will be even more comfortable. We’re so pleased to hear you would return, and we’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you back.
