Chalet Solitude | Your Premier Hanazano Retreat is a spacious and luxurious chalet minutes from the Hanazono lifts. More than just a place to stay, we provide support to ensure your Niseko experience is exceptional.

Designed for Alpine Living
The heart of the home is the second-floor great room, featuring an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area beneath a high ceiling. Expansive windows showcase stunning, direct views of Mount Yotei. The kitchen is fully equipped for entertaining, complete with a bar counter, while the living area is set up for relaxation with premium streaming services.

Layout Over Three Floors

First Floor: Practical amenities including a garage, dedicated ski room, and laundry.

Second Floor: The main living area and one bedroom.

Third Floor: Two twin bedrooms and a master suite. The master bedroom features its own Mt. Yotei view, a private bathroom with a deep bathtub and separate shower, and balcony access.

Great Stay

Our second stay at the property. Really enjoyed our time there. William did his best to help us with some problems with the heating system (due to a lot of snowfall). Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Fantastic spot! Great host!

This house is super comfortable. Billy, the property manager, is VERY helpful. It's just a minute to drive to the free parking at Hanazano or you can walk about 10 min. I fully recommend. We loved it here.

First Japow trip

It snowed 6 out of 9 days. Did a guided day on one of the clearish days. It was fantastic! We drove and walked to the mountain. The gong was pretty cool.

Fabulous Trip to Japan

The property is so conveniently located to the ski resort and worked out great for our group. We would absolutely stay at this property again. It has been a week since our departure and I have not yet received any notification regarding the refund of the deposit; however, I did reach out to the host and hope to hear back soon.

Great for family with teenagers!

We spent every day in the slopes till the last lift. Although the fire place was not in working order for our stay, the house was perfect for a large group. I was with my husband and 6 teenagers. We cooked every night in the large kitchen. The Japanese bath was appreciated after a fun day in the snow.

Amazing Location great for family

Wonderful property in a great location. 5 min walk (2min drive) from Hanazono lifts. Couldn’t be easier to get to the lift. House is very well Equipt. There are no instruction manuals but internet is clearly marked on model and good high speed. Use google translate images to easily translate Japanese appliances. We had a wonderful stay thank you so much! Highly recommend :)

This Property is a Gem

'Solitude' presented true to the photos and provided our adult family of 5 with a spacious and very well appointed base for our trip. The windows are large and provided great light and viewing of the natural beauty that surrounds the property. We would be delighted to stay in this property again. The skiers in the family made the short drive to the resort each day. As a non-skier, I walked to the resort to meet the family on some days and I also walked around the quiet local streets looking at the architecture and snow capped roofs.Billy, the manager of the property, was easy to work with assisting with restaurant and activity bookings and advice which made our trip even better.

An Amazing Ski Lodge

This is an amazing property. It is about as close to ski in- ski out as you can find around Hanazono/Niseko (in Niseko only 2 hotels are even on the slopes, and presently none in Hanazono) until the new hotels are built, The combination of convenience and luxury is unmatched. Heated towel racks, balconies, Japanese soaking tubs, and a spectacular view of Mt Yotei. An easy walk to the Hanazono lifts which are quieter and less crowded than other Niseko lifts, also boasting the best ski school for families. You can definitely ride to the top of the mountain and ski down the Niseko side without much difficulty unless winds are high. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the owners were very supportive and helpful. We've Stayed in many nice places in Colorado and Utah and this was our favorite ski vacation. You can get around on the free shuttle bus but if you are brave enough to drive in Japan (which we found manageable) .it opens up a whole world of onsens and great restaurants in KutchanCho. Our favorite sushi place is Yotei Maru, a sushi-Go round with excellent selection. Car rental is available in Niseko. While the new hotels may be a bit closer, Solitude is more private and well appointed. Our family created a lot of great memories here. Also the resort lodge in Hanazono is MUCH nicer than Niseko. Lift tickets are very affordable and the lodge is happy to store your ski equipment.

Amazing and cozy chalet for families seeking tranquility

Solitude has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and the big dining/living area with Mr. Yotei view is so nice and relaxing. We had 4 adults and 4 children, and it was very comfortable for the 8 of us. Hanazono 308 lodge is only 7 or 8 minutes away. You can walk there if you leave the skis at the lodge overnight. I recommend running a big grocery run to Kutchan. It must be a beautiful place to visit in the summertime, too.

A beautiful & cozy chalet with a spacious living/dining room. A speculator view of Mt.Yotei.

Walking distant to the ski lodge, Hanazono 308 in the winter time and to the golf course in the summer time. Beautiful natural surroundings. Top notch in style & comfort.

Excellent stay in Niseko

We traveled with a group for 3 nights in Niseko and stayed at this nice lodge. Fresh towels and linens were provided and the house was nice and spacious. The owner is extremely responsive. One thing to note, the house is a bit tucked away near the Hanazono side - would recommend utilizing the nice kitchen and cooking some meals on your own or getting a car as hirafu is a good 10-15 min away. if you are a competent skiier you can start at Hanazono and make your way to any other part of the mountain, provided winds cooperate and lifts are open.

Guests really feel they have escaped to a special spot at the same time being close to the ski-mountain. Having the large, comfortable entertainment space means groups really enjoy their time together and at the same time can escape to their own private bedrooms when they want to chill. We also understand guests needs for their stay such as ski-school, restaurants, transport and do what we can to support these.
