Adults Only Retreat - Charming bungalow in Culebra with Bay/Garden Views!

Enjoy the rustic island of Culebra at our Adult Only home, where island time reigns supreme! If you're looking for Marriotts, chain restaurants and city amenities, Culebra is not the island for you. However, if you're looking to unwind on a simple island that offers some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, come stay for a week, or a months(s), at Secret Garden Culebra. With A/C, comfortable queen bed, ample storage, fully-equipped kitchen, and furnished patio, you'll have all you need to stay and explore like a local!

Secret Garden is our second home, and we are sharing it with you in order for you to explore the small island of Culebra. As such, we only rent to profiles with at least three 5-star reviews. Our home is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit with concrete floors, a fully renovated bedroom, bathroom, and living room with Smart TV and high speed wifi/internet (Starlink). The kitchen is perfect for cooking at home; it is fully equipped for you, complete with a cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, electric skillets and blender, as well as a full-size fridge and all the utensils and cookware you will need. There are some spices that may have been left by the previous guests, feel free to use whatever is there! If you need more, there are several locally owned grocery stores to purchase them.

All linens are provided at the beginning of your trip, including beach towels (beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented at the Flamenco Beach Kiosks). Hand soap and dish soap are provided for your convenience, as well as initial paper towels and toilet paper. However, if additional paper products are needed during your stay, or personal soaps and shampoos, etc., these are the responsibility of the guest. There are several locally owned stores nearby to purchase these items if you forgot them (see the website).

Secret Garden is a work in progress (only the lower unit has been completely renovated and updated), so please be patient with the unfinished appearance of the property at the street level. No construction will be done during guest stays; we only work on the property when we are living there. The garden is also under renovation, so please do not use the lower part of the property at this time. Once completed, there will be 3 total units, a small dipping pool, raised garden beds, decks for lounging, a BBQ/grilling area, as well as a path through the lower garden for your enjoyment.

This property is adults only, and is not suited for children. No pets are allowed on the property. There are some cats that visit occasionally; feel free to feed them OUTSIDE using the food under the corner cabinet in the kitchen. Keep in mind that food left out may attract chickens/roosters and ants, so we don't recommend leaving food out indefinitely. However, please DO NOT feed any dogs that come by. While we love dogs, they tend to attack the cats that have made Secret Garden their home. The cats help keep the gecko, rodent and large bug population in check, so we try to protect their habitat and keep them around. PLEASE do not allow the cats, or any other animals, inside the unit.
