Slightly confusing at first, but indeed this is a stay at a Marriott property, and check-in is the same as any other hotel check-in. Great hotel, great location, and great price.

Comfortable stay at Aloft Hotel

We enjoyed our stay but this listing was very confusing as it makes it seem like this is a private property being rented out and it is in fact for the ALoft Hotel in Portland. That was very confusing for us at check in as we were not sure if we were in the correct place. The lady at check-in was helpful in letting us know that we were in fact in the correct location thankfully. The hotel is a short walk to many decent shops and restaurants but Portland itself is kind of a dud. We would stay at the hotel again for its amenities though!

We stayed Thursday-Tuesday and never got housekeeping once. They knocked on the door at 8am Saturday and I just wanted to go back to bed so I asked for fresh towels. Never saw them again.

Portland Thanksgiving weekend

Everything fine, room clean and peaceful. The two problems were more coffee was going to be delivered but did not come until the next day. And the room heat was somewhat spotty, off and on. I loved the light-filled lounge to set up my laptop and use as a temporary workspace. The receptionists were all very friendly and accommodating.
