We rent from VRBO at least 2-3 times a year, this house had everything and more in it. It is a beautiful property, comfortable and cozy, we loved sitting out back around the fire pit overlooking the pond. Our kids took advantage of the ping pong table, corn hole, horseshoe pit and paddle boat. We want to stay there again!!!

This was the most peaceful, idyllic, and wonderful home and farm in Kirtland. The home is very well equipped and has so many fun things for a group or family to do. The scenery and lake were amazing, and the home was so well appointed. You felt like you were stepping back in time, but with all of the modern conveniences. It was close to everything we wanted to do, and the hosts were gracious and didn’t leave out one detail. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again. It would be perfect for a larger family gathering or reunion.

This is a one of a kind charming family home, so clean, well stocked kitchen, plenty of bedrooms for everyone with comfortable beds! Excellent communication with the hosts. Enjoyed both fire pits during our stay, grilled and enjoyed dinner on the back patio. My grandsons loved the barn activities and fishing. Did not want to leave!!

Merrybrook Farm...is....COOL as our Grandson said. And we agree. Just a really good place off the beaten path in a "farmhouse" w every imaginable convenience and technology available. While we are not heavy VRBO users, Patrick's place is and was our best VRBO experience to date. HIGHLY recommend this place for family get togethers and enjoy all this farm has to offer!!

Beautiful farmhouse

This house is gorgeous. Three beautiful sitting rooms. Out door barn for ping pong and games. The back porch has a gas fireplace and then down near the beautiful pond there is a regular wood fire pit stocked with seasoned fire wood. Enjoy this property inside and out.

Phenomenal property! Super clean. Plenty of room for our family of 9. Our kids enjoyed going on the paddle boat and row boat. For anybody visiting historic Kirtland or LDS church sites... This is very close. You would have to travel a lot further to find a decent hotel. One warning for those with very young children, many of the amazing decorations are fragile/glass. Our youngest is 6 and I wasn't too anxious.

Travis and Family, Thank you for the kind words and review! We are so glad that all of your children enjoyed their time on the lake etc! I grew up in this home and had 6 siblings! It has been in our family for almost 65 years. The home has stood the test of time—that’s for sure! We love the fact that others get to enjoy Merrybrook and create their own memories. You are welcome back anytime and please spread the word to your church family. Patrick and Carla

We did not want to leave this beautiful place!! Patrick and Carla have made this home a sanctuary for their guests. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and updated, everything was well marked, the barn had plenty of fun activities to enjoy, the boats to ride around the lake was fun, and so much more. Merrybrook Farm is a beautiful, cozy home with an amazing view. The house is well stocked and has so many special touches…we loved the well equipped kitchen, the spa products in the bathrooms, the cozy sitting areas, the game room and 2 fire pits that overlooked the huge pond! The paddle boat was a hit! The hosts provided a place that made us feel right at home. We truly appreciated the delicious cookies personalized for our visit! The welcome book was full of restaurant and activity suggestions which were super helpful. Upon arrival, we found the house and property exceptionally clean. The rooms, linens, and towels were so fresh and pristine. The thoughtfulness that went into preparing this home for visitors was above and beyond! I cannot recommend this place enough! We will definitely will return! Thank you!

To gather together our children and some grandchildren we were looking for a home with many bedrooms. What we found at Merrybrook was so so much more! The home and property were so welcoming, comfortable, well stocked, exquisitely decorated, and peaceful that we were all sad to leave. Words can’t describe the setting. We could have stayed for a week and not taken advantage of all the activities available in the barn and on the lake. I cannot think of a single thing that could have made our stay better.

Fantastic property. Spacious, clean and so very homey. We were in town for our son’s wedding and the host couldn’t have been more generous leaving us a plate of specialty cookies celebrating the event. The home is lovely, and well equipped with everything a guest would need; it felt like we were at grandmas house. They furniture, decor, beds, pillows, linens were all top of the line and in great condition. We’ve had many rental homes, this is the best of the best. I would only caution the bedroom #5 is in a separate building and not a great fit for small children. We felt honored they shared it with our family and I hope all fuite guests take care of the property with the respect it deserves.

We had an outstanding stay and were genuinely impressed by how thoughtfully this property was equipped. Every detail seemed to have been considered. We packed a crockpot, extra indoor games in case of rain, and even firewood—only to discover the owners had already provided all of those things and more! It truly felt like a home that anticipated guests' needs rather than just a typical rental.Owner knew we were celebrating Dad's 95th birthday and provided 1 dozen birthday decorated cookies. A pleasant surprise. The amenities went far beyond our expectations. We especially enjoyed taking the boats out on the pond and spending time in the barn playing the variety of games available. There was always something fun to do, regardless of the weather.Inside, the home was beautifully decorated with incredible attention to detail, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The bedrooms were exceptionally comfortable, with high-end linens, fans provided for added comfort, and everything needed for a restful night's sleep. The owner was also very responsive to emails, answering questions promptly and making the entire rental process smooth and easy. This is one of the best-equipped vacation rentals we've ever stayed in. The owners clearly take great pride in creating an exceptional guest experience, and it shows in every aspect of the property. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-appointed getaway.
