Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway.
This 100+ year old charmer boasts all the elegance with updated comforts to make your stay an enriching experience. The hand hewn beams are amazing! The vintage wall papers and original hard wood flooring are truly a delight! Escape the stress and retire for a getaway in the country where life slows down and the things that really matter come back into focus!
Guests have access to the entire house and expansive yard surrounding the home, with the exception of one room located on the back of the house used for housekeeping. No one occupies this room. The home has a galley style kitchen, full dining room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms- one shower and two tubs. The lawn has a beautiful old tree to relax beneath, a stone patio with seating and a fire pit to enjoy, and an outdoor dining area around back with a grill and string lights. The barns on the property are off limits to guests. (A visit from a small barnyard petting zoo can be arranged for an additional fee, just contact the host if interested.) There is plenty of parking available, and we can easily accommodate horse or cattle trailers.
This is a spacious property with the capabilities of accommodating guest needs- from our equestrian friends to folks in town for agriculture related work or just looking for a relaxing getaway in beautiful rural Kentucky, we would love to serve as your home away from home! Common sites in the area include wild turkey and deer, Amish buggies on the highway, horse drawn carriages, and beautiful sunsets!
Amish markets, farm fresh produce, goat yoga, fishing, restaurants, Lake Cumberland, and so many other fun things are located relatively close by. A binder with a ton of options for entertainment, along with locations and contact information is provided by the host in the Local Attractions Binder.
