This is a great property! Brighton is a great village with wonderful shopping and restaurants. Howell is just up the road with a big outlet mall. The property is exceptionally clean and the amenities (coffees, snacks, etc) so thoughtful. A very warm and welcoming place to get away for a few days. Loved it!

This is a great location with a beautiful view of the lake. The home is well stocked with everything needed. The owner was very responsive to a problem due to storm damage. Standard bed pillows are needed.

The Little Things

This property suited us very well. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Access to the lake is just across the road. The many many little touches the owners provided were well noticed and received! Beautifully decorated home. Owners were very quick to respond to any questions or issues.

We rented this location on short notice and the host was responsive and timely in his communication. We chose this property because it is located about a mile from our friends’ house. We did not spend much time on the property during the week we were there, but some of the things we appreciated were: 1. It was clean,2. The bed was comfortable,3. The coffeemaker worked well and there was a good selection of coffees plus options for hot cider and hot chocolate (not really necessary in August, but nice to have),4. Plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower,5. Lovely view of the lake from the sofa.There were lots of games in the cabinets for people who are into that. Having a stove, full size fridge, microwave, toaster, air fryer, and dishwasher would make life easy for those having meals in the house.Something we wished the house had is regular sleeping pillows on the beds. There were multiple throw pillows in shams but none that were comfortable to sleep on overnight. Not an issue if you bring your own pillows, but we were traveling light.The floors in the dining area appear to have experienced some water damage. No smell of mold or anything like that, but the flooring is uneven in multiple places which is a little disconcerting when you’re walking across it to the bathroom at night. I’m guessing this will be fixed soon. I’m just glad this location was available so we could spend more time with our friends.We would stay here again.

We chose this spot for its perfect blend of quiet lakeside living and small-town charm. You’re just 10 minutes from downtown Brighton and Howell, where you’ll find great restaurants, cozy coffee shops, and fun local events—but when you return, it feels like your own private retreat.

The neighborhood is peaceful and welcoming, with friendly neighbors and the calming sounds of the lake in the morning. We love walking down to the water (just across the street!) with coffee in hand or winding down by the firepit as the sun sets.
