Work retreat! A group of 12 of us stayed here in November and had the best time. A couple of pairs shared a room and the rest had their own room. Lots of activities here. We did some BBQing, lit the bonfire, enjoyed the trails, kayaks, basketball, frisbee, and game rooms. There's so much to do here that you don't really need to venture off the property too much. The floors are a bit thin so you can hear what's happening above you loud and clear. So anyone with the rooms below the game room may not get any sleep. There are grocery stores nearby, approx.10-15 min drive. We cooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner together. There are restaurants near the shops like pizza and fast food if you're not up for cooking. We'll definitely book again. Thank you for a great stay!

Family wedding weekend

My extended family (22 of us) were fortunate to find such a perfect home to stay in after discovering all the local hotels were fully booked for a family wedding weekend. Cindy was very responsive and accommodating. She even personally met us to do a walk through of the house when we checked in which was super helpful. This unique home and surrounding property are ideal for a large group and accurately represented in the listing description. I’m sure it’s even better in the warmer months or when there is snow to more fully take advantage of the outdoors!

Large and comfortable

Location was excellent for our family gathering of twelve. There was more than ample room for all of us, and the selection (and variety) of indoor and outdoor areas to sit and chat, or play games was impressive. Although the kitchen was large enough for food preparation, the extra kitchen (downstairs) came in handy as well.

Thanksgiving at the Mansion!

"The Mansion" as the grandkids called it was perfect for our extended family Thanksgiving get away.....even on a rainy day! The Yellow Cottage is spacious indoors and outdoors with plenty of room for playing, sleeping and lounging. We took advantage of the path in the woods, the kayaks and paddle boat and played a game of soccer football in the huge field. On the rainy day the kids played bowling, Foose ball & Jenga in the loft games room (not recommended while ppl are sleeping in the bedrooms below) while others played board games and crafted at the massive dining table. The kitchen/dining room * layout are perfect for meal prep, buffet style walk through and 20+ ppl eating together It was a thoroughly ENJOYABLE weekend. There are LOTS of open stairs and the main kitchen/dining areas are on the second floor. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

Incredible home and property!

An easy 45 minutes from Toronto. Such a great home with so much room and things to do (pool table, ping pong...). Highly recommend for golf trip and simply to get away.

Even better than the pictures!

My family had an amazing weekend at the Yellow Cottage for my mom’s birthday! There were so many activities to keep the kids happy and more than enough space for all of us! The house is incredible, and the property was beautiful to explore!

We rented this property for a family get together, and it has everything in one location! Boating, outdoor games, indoor game etc. Plenty of bedrooms, beds, and living space. We loved that each of us had a space, and the house was big enough to not feel crowded at all. It was clean and decorated beautifully. Would love to come back!!

A beautiful home that fits the purpose of our event

Our daughter had her wedding at a venue about 30 minutes away from the property. The house is perfectly setup to allow us to host both the bridal party and our extended family from out of town all at one place. Cindy was extremely helpful and accommodating in allowing us to check in slightly earlier so that we could better prepare for the rehearsal at the venue the night before and the tea ceremony held in the next morning. The atmosphere at the house was intimate and perfect for purpose of our family event. And there was ample beautiful ground outside to allow everyone to mingle and enjoy.

Perfect place for company retreats!

This place was absolutely everything I wanted and expected plus more. The home itself was very clean and spacious. It was the most perfect home to host company retreats with 9 bedrooms & spacious meeting areas. The host were more than kind and ready to assist us whenever needed. I would definitely book this place again.

Lovely cottage

Our family had a lovely time in the cottage....three generations found something to do on this beautiful property. The only items that were not the best, was the pond...it was quite murky and not swimmable and the water in the cottage had an unpleasant smell at times. Other than that, we made some beautiful memories here that will last a lifetime!

Out stay at the Yellow Cottage was the perfect holiday!

The Yellow Cottage has it all. It is beautifully situated, surrounded by creek, ponds, fields and forest. Outside we enjoyed kayaking, paddle-boating, lawn games, cycling, playing sports, lounging, campfires, and exploring nature. The grassy fields are perfect for frisbee, football, soccer, etc. The pond with it's fountain is so relaxing and it is easy to launch the many kayaks and boats available into the extensive pond which was so amazing to explore. Inside there are spacious and comfortable rooms to accommodate many family and friends. We enjoyed a family reunion and everyone had space to visit, to spend down time, to play in the many activity rooms, to cook, bbq and relax. The game room in the loft was a popular spot with grown-ups and kids alike. The sun room was so pleasant for games and visiting. The deck with its covered patio and bbq was perfect for socializing and observing the activities in the yard. The dining room was incredible for everyone to sit and eat together. We had everything we could possibly need for a holiday in this incredibly clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped cottage. We would highly recommend this property and hope that we will be able to visit again.

The farmhouse was beautiful and was exactly as the photos show it. It was clean and well equipped.

Our family of 19, which included several teens and 3 9 to 12 year olds, just returned from a fantastic weekend at the farmhouse. There was plenty of room for everyone with spaces to spend time together as a group or to escape to a quiet place just to read a book. It was nice that we were able to seat everyone together to enjoy or meals. There was so much to do that a weekend was just not enough time. We were lucky to have sunny, warm weather, which allowed us to enjoy the outdoor activities, the paddle boat, an evening bonfire, the hot tub, fishing and the beautiful gardens. There was lots of space for frisbee and walks along the river exploring nature, where we saw turtles, fish, lots of different birds and either a beaver or otter ( we didn't get close enough to know for sure). But, there was lots of indoor fun too, the games room was a big hit and we brought along a karaoke machine for an evening of family fun in the large sunroom. It was a wonderful place for me to spend some real quality time with my kids and my grandchildren.
