I appreciated that the host was very communicative and understanding, but sadly there were a fair few issues with the stay. Our largest issue was that the description says it is a "3 bedroom", even though one of the "bedrooms" is an open loft and not an actual room. The pictures of the listing also made it seem like it was an actual room, and it was an inconvenience for my group. However, the host did give me a partial refund for the inaccuracy.Another issue we had was the overall upkeep of the place. There were some grill tools, but they were completely covered in mold and disgusting. In the same vein, the downstairs bathroom also had mold growing in the corners. The kitchen had dry goods in the cupboards that were well past expired, one of them even being from 2019! We tried to use the hot tub, but despite there being a cover on it, there was a very strong urine smell coming from it. Additionally, we could not find sheets/blankets for the sofa beds.The last problem is that the driveway up to the house is steep and comprised of loose gravel. Even cars with AWD had trouble making it up the hill, and I'm sure all the gravel being kicked around scratched up the bottom of the cars. I have stayed in other mountain cabins before, and they had paved driveways.Overall, I wouldn't say it was a terrible experience, but all these issues really added up to be seriously annoying for us.
