Very nice cottage, on a Quiet lake! Its in a Central location, to view all the tourist stops. We followed my vehicles map, and entered the property from a two track trail that was interesting, as it was getting dark! It was too cool to use the boats, but it was nice that they were available! Plan on driving a distance to get groceries, AND check the expiration dates on purchased food! I Highly recommend this property!

This property is absolutely stunning. Remote, peaceful, and full of beauty. The perfect U.P. experience. Easy drive to Tahquanamon Falls and the Lake shoreline for the perfect sunset. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. The house was clean and communication was great. Highly encourage a Fall trip to enjoy the colors/foliage. The kayaks and rowboat are a nice benefit to take full advantage of the lake vibes. Highly recommend.

Our Stay

Home was beautiful and AMAZING. Upstairs beds were comfortable. Didn't care for the amount of mosquitos (prevented us from having a bonfire) Also we were blessed to watch 2 families of geese and several goslings roam the property. ( which also created a lot of droppings ) The lake would have been great to kayak on, if the weather wasn't rainy, windy and SO MANY mosquitos....... Over all the home is in a great location for several of the areas attractions. Everything is within a peaceful 1 hour drive that we wanted to see and do.

Beautiful Quiet Location!

We had a great stay! House was very nice and clean. Only suggestion would be a little nicer grill but we managed. A DVD player was listed but not present that we could find. Everything else was perfect! We would definitely stay here again. I have a 4 star for communication only because I had difficulty reaching the property manager but I believe he was having trouble with his app notifications. Once that was sorted out everything was good to go.

Great Family Getaway

The property was perfect for our family snowmobile trip. It is close to the trails and had plenty of parking for our trucks and trailers.

Great getaway and location for all the U.P. Highlights

Cozy home to getaway in. We hit Mackinac island, kitchitikipi, pictured rocks, and Tahquamenon falls… all 45 minutes to 1 hr 15min… Kids enjoyed kayaking and fishing during the down times… Perfect place for family memories…

Great place for a large family

We were doing a quick weekend trip to do some basic UP sight seeing & the location was perfect to go everywhere we wanted to go. We are a family of 6 and we had more than enough room. The kids enjoyed the lake so much! My favorite part was how peaceful and relaxing the house was. I would love to go back in the future.

Peaceful home base for UP adventures

Very clean and peaceful accommodations. Nice central location to many places in the eastern UP. Suited our needs quite well! Be sure to bring drinking water and extra tp. :)

Peaceful getaway

Nice, quiet property on the lake. House was very clean. Spent lots of time on the porch facing the lake. If you like privacy, this is for you. Nature lovers paradise. There's more to do in the area than you would think. Of course, there's some driving involved, but found plenty to do in the area. The fishing was decent, especially for bass. Lake is shallow so had to work to catch other fish. Saw many animals including a bald eagle a couple of times. This property provided a very peaceful vacation. If our group decides to visit Michigan's UP again, we'd definitely have no problem staying here.

UP Getaway

The location is very nice with lots of interesting sites to visit within a short drive. The mosquitoes were thick but I think that would have been the case anywhere this time of year. Overall, a nice cabin in the woods!

Great getaway!

Peaceful, remote location with lots of amenities to enjoy if you choose to. Central location is great for all the attractions in the East part of the UP.

Perfect

It was a great experience. I absolutely loved the view it was amazing. The lake was great for canoeing and kayaking. It was perfect for fishing. They house was spacious and cozy. It was our best trip yet. 10 out of 10 would recommend or stay again.

Quiet, spacious outside

Nothing too fancy but a nice get away. Laundry room smells a little like cat pee, but if you close the door it’s ok. Water smells of sulfur, so we left the bathroom fans on and shut doors. Internet is spotty so leave your devices at home - which is the point of this secluded getaway. The kayak is awesome out on the shallow lake.

Family getaway with adult kids

The house on the lake was perfect for a family getaway. Adequate room for all of us and plenty of room outside for games and shenanigans. Plus, the location was great for day trips to Mackinaw City, Pictured Rock and Lake Michigan beaches. The Oswald Zoo was a surprising experience for the breadth of animals they had. Had a great time!

Great place for a quiet get-away

We enjoyed Chad’s home , it is as described. Side by side trails are right from the house. It was very nice not to have to trailer them somewhere. Nice lake for fishing & Kayaking. My sons caught several fish. They enjoyed being able to walk right out the door to the lake . My 2.5 year old granddaughter had a great time too. A Fun place to stay for all ages. Plenty of beds, having the second bathroom was a big plus for us. We plan to return Thank you Chad

This property is special because it provides a place to get away from it all. If a peaceful and relaxing time is what you are seeking, then you have come to the right place. The view of the lake and the call of the Loons provide that true "Up North" feeling. This is a great centralized location to visit Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, and Pictured Rocks. Also, the snowmobile and atv trails right out your door cannot be equaled.
