The house is on a wonderful secluded site, not far from Curracloe village & beach, and Wexford town nearby. Fabulous area and we had lovely weather so a great holiday enjoyed by 3 generations.
Owners were very good on communication pre arrival and we were met by a lovely lady Mary to check in on arrival day.
The house had ample cooking facilities and equipment and the kitchen is modern and bright with a couple of dining tables. Extra drinks fridge was a bonus in utility room. It could do with a garden table set, especially when weather nice so this was missing for us.
No WiFi was ok for us as kids couldn’t be on devices much, bar a few downloads. Plenty of DVD’s in the house which we used on one wet day, nice surprise. But we could not get the TV channels working and my brother is quite techie. Wasn’t much issue, my dad would have watched news if he could have.
Our one misgiving was the cleanliness. Many cobwebs throughout. When we opened Velux windows for air we were showered with dead flies. The delph and crockery was not clean. We had to hand wash mugs for tea on arrival and put all the cutlery and other items through the dishwasher. We found a grease-caked frying pan also which we just set aside, as there was a second one to use. Many cupboards and drawers had to be cleaned by us, as well as the second fridge in utility. One shower upstairs was not working and a toilet seat missing from downstairs main bathroom. These points were a major disappointment on arrival, but we got over it and did have a good holiday.
