Advertised as a complete home stay. The home is broken into 3. The home is one. The basement is broken up into two part what plywood dividing the two “suites”. To be nice and say no more, I could not be offered to stay there for free again!

owner is great guy,,,,,place is really really run down and beat up,,,,has two days of flooded kitchen from rain and had roaches in kitchen,,,i left two days early out of four days..was very cold ,,owner had to supply space heaters for the place,,upstairs controls everything

Unreliable, Unprofessional

I can’t comment on cleanliness or accommodations because we did NOT stay the night as planned. But experience with overall professionalism was sub par. We booked 1 night to attend a concert at Hershey. Instructions stated check-in after 3 and that additional instructions would be provided day of. On our check in day, I didn’t receive instructions so I messaged the owner. Nothing. We hit the roed assuming surely we’d receive a message by the time we arrived. We pulled into the driveway shortly after 3:30, still no instructions . Finally, he texted; I responded, described our car. After 15 min of silence he apologized that the place we booked wasn’t available, but that he could offer another location 20 minutes away— and that he was at that location. With area hotels booked we were somewhat desperate but also thought this was highly irregular if not against VRBO rules? I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with VRBO so we drove out expecting he’d be waiting. Surprise! He wasn’t waiting for us despite us texting throughout this time. Moreover, the address looked sketchy. Not the safe place 10 min from concert venue we paid for/booked. It was clear we should not be staying at a location that was now 30 min away and that we knew nothing about (he said it was also a listed VRBO but never sent the listing /I couldn’t find). . We left. I asked for a refund. Owner claims his offer of an “alternate” location does not warrant a refund.
