Weekend Getaway

My husband and I just needed a weekend away. We just live 11 miles away in Perdido, Fl. The view was great. The bed was very comfortable. The weather did not behave, it was cold and dreary. I would book again.

First visit to this area

Property was well taken care of. Up to date, stocked well with necessities and location was good. Pictures match the condo. The only issue we had was at check-in. Check in is at 4:00 but they didn't have our rental ready and couldn't tell us how long it would be. We didn't get keys until almost 5:00.

nice but not newly renovated

online says it is newly renovated. in fact it is pretty outdated. needs new appliances and kitchen makeover. the refrigerator is pretty worn. handles are pretty disgusting. would also be nice to access condo with code keypad instead of carrying around a key. overall we enjoyed our stay but it does need updated.

Overall Good

Location and amenities were great! A few things- some of the curtain blinds on back glass don’t work, which was annoying for people sleeping on the pull out sofa. Also, the pull out sofa didn’t have any linens or blankets. There wasn’t any extra either for normal bed. There was a little mold in the bathroom that someone caulked over instead of cleaning then caulking. One of the chairs on porch was broke. And blinds in master bedroom were paper thin and damaged- letting the light in from the outside all night- but overall it was a good place.

Girls GETAWAY gone WRONG!

There were many, many frustrating issues during our stay, starting when we arrived and found that the balcony on our unit was blocked off for painting and all of the balcony furniture was inside the living and dining room areas. The furniture was everywhere taking up space in a condo that is already smaller. We were never informed that the balcony would be closed or we wouldn’t have rented the condo as that was one of the main reasons we chose that unit, the view of the beach and we were looking forward to using the balcony! We were told by the manager on duty that the unit should never have even been available for us to rent and then blamed me for renting through VRBO! Talk about aggravating! In addition to that, we had issues with the TV not working properly. The sound kept going out while watching the TV. The blow dryer literally fell apart in my hands while I was using it and almost caught my hair on fire! That’s really safe! The toilet stopped working and it took a long time to fix, in a one bathroom unit. The electric can opener just didn’t work at all and the stove had a weird burning smell when using the burners to cook with. What was supposed to be a girl’s trip with my daughters and I (all teachers) to get away and relax ended up being extremely stressful due to all of these issues! I felt like I was living in the twilight zone with all of the problems we had and the response to address our issues was less than stellar, to say the least! Rating 0 out of 5 stars!
