Everything was just right.

The weather was great and the house and property was very accommodating. Town is 3 miles away and has everything you need. The dogs loved the lake and I can’t tell you how happy we were to be able to enjoy our week with them.

Great little lake getaway

Property was fantastic. Spent time sitting on the beach, enjoying the lawn, the gorgeous lake views and watching and listening to wildlife, not to mention the great fishing. Highly recommend enjoying this property. The hosts were excellent, they were responsive, and very helpful and friendly. Added bonus to this is the fun publicly accessible Island in the middle of the lake.

Great Lake Getaway

Lovely little house right on Annabessacook Lake in Maine, with everything you might need. Great kayaking right from the property. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Quiet and relaxing

The owner greeted us at check-in and provided helpful information. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Overall, a very quiet and relaxing vacation on a beautiful lake, which was just what we were looking for. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful week on Annabessacook Lake. Big windows faced the lake from the dinning and living room so you had a beautiful view of the lake. The house was very clean and comfortable. We heard the loons every day, especially in the evening. We saw several Bald Eagles fly by while sitting on the deck. It was very quiet and peaceful. Because of the weather, we were only able to use the kayaks and paddle board a couple of times ( but nice to have this option). We would highly recommend staying here.

Just book it! You will not find a better place to stay. We had an incredible time. It was so peaceful there. We saw lots of wildlife, and the lake is stunning. The host, Dave, was so nice and welcoming! He’s very responsive, and extremely kind. He even offered to teach us how to use a little boat with a motor on property. The kayaks and paddle board are such a great addition, too! I can’t recommend this home enough. It’s my new favorite place. A little slice of paradise.

Had a lovely time

We had an awesome 3 night stay at this location. The canoe and kayak experience was really good. It felt like we owned the lake :) I would recommend this place , if you want to have a gadget free holiday and enjoy nature to the fullest. Also our host, David was a lovely man, who helped us have a fabulous time here at Maine.

A Fishing Family’s Dream

I wish I could give 10 stars!!! This place is perfect for a family getaway! Dave and Sandy are the best hosts you could ever ask for! The kayaks, the boats, the scenery, just not enough time to talk about this place. Don’t look any further, the fishing was fantastic!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!

Perfect family vacation getaway

Three generations stayed for a week (my mother, my 2 yo son, and myself) and it was perfect. The sandy beach and shallow entry into the water kept my son happy every day. The lake is quiet despite some motorized boats and we listened to the loons every night. The cabin is as pictured, clean and cozy. Communication with Dave was excellent, he was very quick to respond and generous with his time and help - he even brought us fresh picked tomatoes from his garden! We couldn’t be happier and hope to come back again!

Wonderful week.

The house was very clean and accommodating, and Dave and Sandy were accessible for anything we needed. We were one adult couple with two dogs and a brother who visited for a few days. All went well. The only suggestion I have is this, and it's certainly not crucial (nor, I realize, is it a tiny investment): In a previous house we stayed at, there was a roll-out awning over part of the deck, like a "Sunsetter", and in wet weather it allowed us to still enjoy the deck and the views without sitting in the rain. Something like that would make this place perfect - still, it was darn close to perfect as is. We'll certainly consider it for future stays. Thank you, Dave and Sandy.

Cozy cabin , great fishing

The host was very accommodating with any needs and were a great family to deal with. The house was very cozy. The sunsets were great while sitting next to the fire and the fishing was incredible.

Nice Maine cottage

Older cottage on a beautiful lake. The property is pet friendly so we had our Golden Retriever with us. Accurate listing and easy communication with the property owners.

Annabessacook Getaway

We loved staying here. Dave and Sandy were very responsive to our needs. The view is amazing and the deck is perfect for hanging out while our granddaughter napped. Having a grill worked well when we invited our extended family for a barbecue. The lake is beautiful, complete with 7 lovely loons that would sing us to sleep! Lot's of song birds on and near the property and the water toys...kayaks, canoe, floatables for the kids along with life jackets were a real plus! The location was perfect for visiting with nearby Winthrop family. The moulding around the bathroom door was loose and caused some minor issues but I am sure that will be fixed in time for our next visit! Overall...a perfect vacation spot!

Lovely lake and great porch

We enjoyed our lake stay. The bed was very comfortable. They have a great deck overlooking the water. We also used the fire pit for somemores. There is an interesting island a canoe or kayak paddle away that has 1 mile plus walking paths. The kitchen is not large, but seems recently updated and was easy to use. We enjoyed our stay.

It is a beautiful location and the cottage (a house really) had everything you could want, clean, right on the lake w a little beach, canoe, kayaks, floating toys! It’s quiet but still nearby grocery, etc.

Relaxing on the lake

Cozy comfortable house situated on a beautiful calm lake with multiple kayaks,and a canoe available. Water great for swimming. The owner David was extremely responsive to our every need, always available and non intrusive. On a very quiet location, very safe for our dog. All in all a great place to atay

Beautiful Maine Lake House

This beautiful piece of property was perfect for us! The owner checked in on us and made sure everything was to our liking. Our two labs loved the water and so did we! We were able to use all the amenities including kitchen appliances and grille and that was very helpful. Internet and tv were also nice to have while on vacation. Overall our experience was amazing and we will be back.

Relaxing Stay

We had a very nice week of sitting on the deck, swimming and kayaking in the water right in front of us, watching loons, bald eagles and osprey, and hiking nearby Mt. Pisgah. The lake was remarkably quiet and peaceful. The home was clean and inviting with a nice view down to the lake. We had fires in the fire pit by the water. The owner came by a few times to e sure we had everything we needed. All in all a really nice week!

Peaceful Get Away

We very much enjoyed this charming remodeled house on the lakefront. It had all the amenities we could desire including kayaks and a canoe. We used the fire pit and private beach, loons and enjoyed the lake view and stars.
