This is an extremely thoughtful property. I have plenty of criteria when I am looking for a home-away-from-home. This one met it all effortlessly. King bed - check, nice tub - check, good kitchen - double check! The house was well-stocked too, there were plenty of dishes and pots n pans, also there was not a single condiment, spice, or cooking oil that we needed to remember to go buy. We actually didn't cook much, but would happily plan future visits with an eye to cooking more and eating in. The only slight complaint is that I wish the exhaust fan controls were simpler. The linens were nice quality and there were extras of everything. If you're staying in the summer, the AC works great. We didn't need it much, but it was nice to have the option. The location is fantastic. You are so close to all that Kirkland has to offer, but on the edge of a lovely residential area for an evening walk. I will note that this is close to a freeway. I don't mind the slight background hum during the day, and it quiets down a great deal at night. This house does have good, insulated windows. However, I like white noise when I sleep, and if you're the type who likes absolute, dead silence at night - there will be some noise. I had no problems falling asleep or staying asleep. Speaking of sleep, the mattress was great. Having had back surgery, mattresses area big deal to me. This one was great - very supportive, but with a soft topper so you sink in just the right amount.
