Phoenix West Hotel was the perfect beachfront accommodation. Everything on the property was clean and nice looking. The bed was very comfortable and everything worked well.

Great trip...awesome beach!

Awesome location walking distance to good dining and shops. Good views. Beach was great and very easy access. The pool was closed for cleaning a good bit but I guess that can't be a bad thing. Elevator took some time during some peak hours but it never really bothered the family.

More to be desired

The smell of mold was strong upon arrival. We noticed many areas of black mold around the condo. The living/sleeping areas were very small and we were thankful it was just the 2 of us. The dishwasher was leaky and most of the dishes had not been cleaned (we had to hand wash them upon arrival). Positives were that this place is right on the beach and close to night life. If you don’t spend much time in the condo, it’s a fine place to sleep.

Not a place for smokers. First condo I stayed in that you cant smoke on the balcony. I was on the 16th floor and had to go down to the parking garage to smoke. The only place I was allowed to smoke. It was a picnic table not covered. Also you could look up and see the employees smoking on the visible hallways.. nice. 250 fine if I did it. The place was not clean and had no counter space in either bathroom so had to keep bathroom stuff on bunk beds in the hallway. Oh and the coup da gras every time someone in the building opened their sliding door you could hear it. It sounded like thunder! I will never stay at any phoenix again.

Unfortunately, the condo and the complex are non-smoking. I will pass along your comments to the Association to see if they can accommodate our smoking guests.

Grandson First Trip to Beach

Booking experience via HomeAway was great and problem free. Due to issues beyond my control, I had to adjust my stay by one day, and the management company was very accommodating. Check in and check out was hassle free and quick. Staffing were polite, friendly and responsive to any needs. Fellow renters and people we encounters were very friendly also. Stayed in unit 1603, while I was initially taken back by the appearance of the front door, once inside the unit, my mind was put to ease. Unit was very clean and maintained. Had great view of beach and most the all the grandson loved it. Was amazed he was not afraid of the height. This was our first trip to Gulf Shores, the building is in a good location, with anything you would need within a 10 minute drive. The pool area could be better, but who cares when the beach is a 100 feet away. The pool is great for kids and toddlers. A little advice, if you drive a large truck or vehicle, do not part on upper deck unless you are a very good driver. Very sharp turns. I will definitely recommend this location and unit to friends and family, and it will be high on my list of choice the next time we visit Gulf Shores

The worst rental in 10 years

We’re renting through VRBO for 10 years now and I’ve never had a place this bad, from the minute we walked into the elevator, you could tell that the place lacked proper maintaining and cleaning and such, then we went up into the room and the coffee table was literally broke, so was the screen on the storm door to the balcony, the tile floor looked like it hasn’t been cleaned for a while, The way it was advertised on VRBO, this unit supposedly got some special status just recently, well, that status was probably referring to the shape this specific unit was in; and the pictures on the site and everything else, I don’t even think the pictures were of this unit; anyways, after seeing it, my wife went back to the office and we got our money back, except for the first night, giving that we’ve arrived at 9pm and you couldn’t possibly find any accommodations that late in the day, so, we’ve start looking on VRBO and we found this beautiful house a couple minutes away and available the next day, so we booked it, paid a premium price for it, giving that it was a last minute rental, so I would not recommend Phoenix rentals to anybody going to the Gulf Shores, better do some research and don’t get fooled by the nice pictures and description of the units.

Pleasantly surprised!

We booked a Spring Break trip last minute and were delighted with our pick of Phoenix West. We were expecting a regular condo as we had often used before, and were amazed at the added service we received from your property. Daily maid service, (including towels and toilet paper) made our brief stay most enjoyable! Our unit was updated, clean and comfortable, and so close to many restaurants and attractions! We will likely look into Phoenix West for future visits, although we would like a unit with an in room washer and dryer!

Mark: We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay here. The hotel is a bit different than most condos and perfect for a quick trip here! The daily maid service makes vacation time much more relaxing. The units here do not have a washer/dryer in them but there is a coin operated guest laundry to use. Come back again and relax !

had a blast

For the price you can't beat this condo. I just wished people would adhere to the rules of no smoking. The smoke would come in our condo from lower balconies.

If you notice a neighbor smoking, please contact the Lobby Desk so it can be addressed. There is a designated smoking area for smokers to use. We look forward to seeing you back again.

Awesome!

The unit was exactly as shown in photographs so no surprises once we arrived. It was clean and everything we needed was provided. Best of all was the view of the beach. Loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach and enjoying God's beautiful creation! Our experience was more than we could have hoped for. We would definitely stay here again!

Gulf Shores for Spring Break

Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Accommodations were clean and comfortable and contained all necessary equipment for us to cook if we felt like it. Bed was comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, and the ocean view fabulous.

This was a great place for a quick stay. The only complaint I have is the master bed was so hard. It was very uncomfortable. The view was great and everything else was included that was mentioned. I think updates on the beds and things would be a lot better.
